Dubbed TikTok’s ‘Fashion Mom’, Algranti, from Toronto, Canada, says in a recent video that the first item of clothing to be ‘gone’ is the ‘aggressive mom jean’.

“Today we are talking about trends that are over and you are going to get angry. You should always make and wear what you want,’ the video begins.

She then quips, “Just remember who’s in charge, I’m TikTok Fashion Mom.” You will shut up when you talk to me.

Algranti, who studied Fashion Coordination and Styling at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), according to InfluentialHe goes on to explain his first choice on his list.

“Let’s focus on number one: aggressive mom jeans, especially with the elasticated waist,” she says.

“Now I know a lot of you are already pissed but here’s the thing, I don’t know why but it gives me a felon on the run.”

Algranti then presents his ‘number two’ article.

“The aggressive square nail, well documented for carrying E.coli, highly flammable and also extremely ugly,” she says.

The next item on the influencer list is the open-toed boot.

‘Look, I know you were the shit in 2013, and by the way, I don’t promote getting rid of your items at all. But I promote the reuse of these,’ she says.

‘You know these could be good gardening shoes, you’ve got the heel to really get into that dirt, breathable toe area, right?’ Algranti jokes.

In conclusion, the mom urges people to take her advice “with a grain of salt.”

The truth of the matter is that I don’t make the rules. I want to say yes, but…’, Algranti jokes.

She's also not a fan of the 'aggressive' square nail.

“Yes, all of that is true, but this bag, along with the other bags mentioned, has gone through waves of popularity and waves of unpopularity, making it a very important part of the trend cycle.

“That doesn’t mean it’s a bad investment or worthless.”

Meanwhile, Algranti says that a classic “is still relevant in fashion, whether it’s very popular or not.”

“A great example of this bag is the Bottega Intrecciato… this is a great classic because, even though it’s not very popular, it’s always relevant in fashion,” she says.

‘Bottega always has a version of this, even the Jodie bag…not the mini Jodie, and also this version still exists with Bottega today. It’s always there.

“This is not and was not going to stand the test of time,” she says.

In another video, Algranti broke down the “biggest fashion trends for 2023.”

“Transparent in several different ways,” says the mother, kicking off her list.

“Outfits, dresses, matching outfits, sheer details and little accents, and of course sheer dresses in a casual way, which we’ve seen many times before, and which are still going strong.”

Others included the sheer trend seen in this runway model.

Another trend Algranti pointed out was sequins, particularly silver.

The next fashion trend is baggy and oversized jeans.

“We love to see these trends that carry over from season to season as opposed to these turbo trends that we see come and go,” says Algranti.

Long skirts are next, but he ensures that miniskirts are still a fashion.

Sequins are back in all sorts of guises, too, ‘but especially silver.’

“Lastly, today we have oversized leather jackets that are reminiscent of ’80s styles,” says Algranti.
