Acclaimed British chef Jamie Oliver has been announced as a new judge at MasterChef Australia.
The TV star and restaurateur, 47, joins judges Andy Allen, Melissa Leong and Jock Zonfrillo for the new season called MasterChef: Secrets and Surprises.
The news was revealed on MasterChef Australia’s official page and immediately sparked anger from the fans.
“ICYMI: Jamie Oliver is the first big surprise, kicking off this season with his own Secrets & Surprises,” the post read.
Jamie will be “guest judge” this season, which begins May 1, according to Ten.

Jamie said in a statement: “I am very, very excited to be back in the MasterChef Australia kitchen, and honored to be kicking off the new season of Secrets & Surprises alongside Jock, Andy and Mel.”

He can then be seen in his chef talking about one of his favorite dishes during a challenge.
