Facebook bans Libs of TikTok over breaking ‘community standards’ as popular conservative account slams ‘extreme censorship’ ahead of 2024 election

Facebook has banned Libs of TikTok from the platform for violating “community standards,” as the popular right-wing account has warned of “extreme censorship” ahead of the 2024 election.

The owner behind TikTok's Libs, Chaya Raichik, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) on Saturday when she posted the message she received about the account being deactivated on Facebook.

“Tik Tok's page libs have been disabled because they violate our community standards. You cannot visit the page and you cannot add new people to the page,” the message said, along with a link to the platform's community standards for reference.

The page was created in April 2020 and is known for its sharp messages combating woke activism. The account has amassed over 2.7 million followers across other social media networks such as X, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.

“It's a shame that Mark Zuckerberg is more concerned about spreading lies and catering to far-left ideologies than allowing users to have their say,” Raichik told The Post Millennial.

'Every day I am grateful to Elon for what he has done for freedom of expression. No matter how many platforms censor and ban, there will always be X where we can tell the truth.”

Raichik then reposted her first tweet, saying, “Get ready for extreme censorship from big tech companies heading into the election. They think we're stupid. Thanks again @elonmusk for giving us a platform for freedom of expression!”

This is also not the first time the page has been disabled on Facebook after the social network banned it last year following claims about a hospital.

Employees at Boston Children's Hospital received these threats after Raichik posted a message claiming they were performing hysterectomies on minors.

Facebook's Community Standards are a guideline with rules that determine what can and cannot be posted on the platform.

Facebook is Meta's parent company and was co-founded in 2014 by technology magnate Mark Zuckerberg.

The platform's community standards have been in place for several years and are regularly updated to address topics such as bullying, violence, privacy, hate speech, misinformation and more.

'Meta recognizes how important it is for Facebook to be a place where people feel empowered to communicate, and we take seriously our role in keeping abuse off the service. That is why we have developed standards for what is and is not allowed on Facebook,” the website says about the guidelines.

Raichik revealed her identity to the world as the person behind the Libs of TikTok page in December 2022, even though her name was revealed months earlier by Washington Post journalist Taylor Lorenz.

She then appeared on Tucker Carlson's Fox Nation show to put a face to the name of the Twitter account with nearly two million followers.

The page, which was created in April 2020, is known for sharing controversial posts related to anti-LGBTQ and combating progressive activism

“It's a shame that Mark Zuckerberg is more concerned about spreading lies and catering to far-left ideologies than allowing users to have their say,” Raichik told The Post Millennial.

Chaya Raichik, the creator behind Libs of TikTok, revealed her face for the first time when she appeared on Tucker Carlson's Fox Nation show in 2022

The former real estate agent from Brooklyn, New York, appeared on the show to personally identify herself and explain what led her to finally go public.

'I think I will be a lot more effective if I am no longer so anonymous. And I'm excited, I already have a few speaking engagements scheduled,” Raichik told Carlson.

'I want to help people fight this [liberal] agenda.'

Chaya said she originally chose to keep her account, which debuted in November 2020 under the username @shaya69830552, private after becoming “aware of the hatred the left harbors and their violent nature.”

'I was like, “I'll stay anonymous” … and I stayed anonymous until my account got doxxed [by Lorenz]she told Carlson.

Since then, she has maintained close ties with well-known Republican leaders such as former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron Desantis.

Now she wants to help “educate people” and create legislation to fight against the things she reposts on her account.

“I've never done in-person events before. And I choose to do that now because I feel like I've done so much in the last few months,” she told Carlson. “I've helped educate people, I know I've helped create legislation to address some of these issues. And I think I've done everything I can and I'm ready for the next step.”

It is unclear how long the Libs of TikTok account on Facebook will be disabled and whether this is permanent or temporary.
