Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares wants to take out prosecutors nationwide funded by Democratic billionaire George Soros, saying election night Tuesday was a good sign of growing momentum against progressives despite Republican Party losses.
The best lawyer in the state acknowledged the string of losses suffered by Republicans on election night this week, telling DailyMail.com in an exclusive interview that it confirms Virginia is a deeply “purple state.”
On Tuesday, Democrats retained their majority in the Senate and won 51 seats in the House of Representatives, wresting control from Republicans. The results shattered Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s hopes of passing a 15-week abortion ban in the state.
Youngkin called the loss “disappointing” but a sign that Virginia “is clearly a state that has gone back and forth historically.”
Miyares praised Youngkin’s leadership, telling DailyMail.com that the governor “single-handedly made Virginia quite competitive” because of his “sky-high approval ratings.”

“We have the ‘Virginia Renaissance,’ I’m proud of the work he’s done.”
Miyares added that there is still “a lot of work to do in the future,” including promoting good policies while keeping an eye on any “bad bills” coming out of the General Assembly.
The attorney general said there were several positives from the night, including the elimination of several left-wing prosecutors.
“I think it was seismic in Loudoun County, where Buta Biberaj had a prominent social justice prosecutor. She lost to a group that was grossly underfunded,” Miyares said.
The attorney general chairs the Protecting Americans Action Fund — which focuses on taking down far-left prosecutors who he says “refuse to do their jobs” and consider themselves social workers.
Biberaj had come under fire for allegedly attacking her political opponents and even reporters in the area.
‘So we are very proud of what we have done there. We had very targeted messages and shocked a lot of people who thought she was unbeatable,” Miyares continued.
His organization also helped push out a Soros accuser in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, spending just five figures, compared to the $2 million spent by Soros and other left-wing billionaires.
“It just shows how the social justice warriors have such a bad brand,” and people recognize what’s happening.
He said Americans are waking up to the “social justice warriors” running the district attorney’s offices.
“Whether it’s in San Francisco or Philadelphia, or Washington DC or California… when you get these left-wing prosecutors in place, the quality of life plummets,” he said.
And there is even more to happen in that regard in 2024, he promises.

Miyares added that there were also a few other victories for Republicans in Virginia. Although they lost in the House of Representatives, they still managed to gain a seat in the Senate.
The redistricting made it more difficult to make further gains in the House of Representatives, he claims.
“We won thirteen districts in 2020 that Joe Biden won. We won seven districts in which not only Joe Biden won the election, but also a Democrat running for Congress in 2022. So if you add up all the votes, I think broadly speaking there is less than 1 percent between us.”
It “destroys the media narrative for a long time that Virginia was not competitive,” he continued.
