Pala Negara has shared her devastation and heartbreak following the loss of her newborn son.
The model and Ex on the Beach star announced Monday that her son, who she named Harmony Hunter, was born on August 28 and died just hours after his arrival.
In a series of photos shared to Instagram, Pala posed with her partner, Byron Bay hairdresser Chris Hunter, and their two young children, as she revealed her baby bump.
Pala went on to document the tragic loss of her youngest son, while herself battling to survive a postpartum hemorrhage she suffered after his birth.
“Creating a life with the love of my life has been the most profound healing journey that I never imagined would be written on our journey,” she wrote in a long, moving caption.
“Almost ten months of growing our lives, growing our family, falling so deeply in love in a union that was always meant to be, falling in love with the life we created for our family, giving birth to life and then giving birth to death has been incomprehensible.

“My body feels broken and aches for our baby, the life we have grown together. I don’t think we’ll ever know how to get through this heartbreak.”
Pala continued, “Our baby boy Harmony Hunter, due on August 8, born on August 28, 2026 at 4:27 am at 42 weeks and 5 days, in the most powerful birth of our lives, and passed away peacefully in our arms that evening at 8:00 pm.
“Our hearts are deeply grateful for our friends who have loved and cared for us this past week.
‘To our community, to Lismore Hospital who worked tirelessly to save Harmony and treat me for postpartum haemorrhage, the NeoRESQ team who flew out and stayed for hours trying to save our little boy, and to Gold Coast University Hospital who held us so deeply as we spent three nights and four days in Comfort Care as a family.
“We will soon lay our angel to rest in the Bundjalung country where he was born, the country that has held my family and continues to hold our family.”
She concluded, “We know you will return to us old soul. We feel you surround us, our angel.”
“My body feels broken and aches for our baby, the life we have grown together. I don’t think we’ll ever know how to get through this heartbreak,” she wrote
Pala fought to survive postpartum hemorrhage after giving birth to her son
The post was flooded with supportive comments from the model and the influencer’s famous friends.
“O my dear heart, you Wonder Woman. I love you both so much,” said PE Nation designer Pip Edwards.
“Friend…sending power your way,” wrote Whitefox founder Marty Fox.
Influencer Ruby Tuesday Matthews simply added a white heart emoji, while model Sarah Stephens wrote: ‘Oh Pala, I’m so sorry. My heart breaks for you two. Sending all my love.”
Bali-born, Byron Bay-based Pala is a model who appeared in the 2023 reality series Ex on the Beach: Couples.
Represented by GIANT Model Management, she has appeared in campaigns for Myer alongside Jennifer Hawkins, Carla Zampatti and Nude by Nature.
She shares two older children with her hairdressing partner, Chris Hunter.
