Erling Haaland will miss Norway’s upcoming Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Spain and Georgia after picking up a groin injury.
The striker scored a hat-trick in Man City’s 6-0 win over Burnley in the FA Cup, but it appears to have come at a price after the striker suffered a groin injury.
A statement from the Norwegian Football Association He confirmed that the team doctors had advised Haaland to return to City and “receive medical follow-up at the club.”
Norway head coach Ståle Solbakken said: ‘Erling took it hard when he realized he couldn’t fight for the team.
‘Fortunately, there is still a lot of self-confidence, talent and cohesion in this group to score points in the next games.

The in-form striker reportedly suffered a groin injury during Man City’s 6-0 win over Burnley.
“We are not going to stay with a millimeter, but we will continue our work to be fully prepared for Saturday and Tuesday.”
Norway take on Spain on Saturday before playing Georgia just three days later, with Haaland missing both games.
The 22-year-old was substituted on 62 minutes against Burnley having already scored a hat-trick.
Pep Guardiola had joked that the striker was substituted to ensure he couldn’t break Lionel Messi’s record, but it seems it may have also been to prevent the injury from getting worse.
Haaland took his season tally to 42 with a sixth hat-trick of the season in the win over Burnley as he continued his fine form in his first season at City.
Speaking after being awarded man of the match, Haaland said: ‘No, I haven’t [set myself that as a target].
‘I’m a striker, I love to score goals, but my objective is not to score goals but to take advantage of chances. If I get the chance, there’s a good chance I’ll score.’
Haaland added that he was happy for the team after recent ‘impressive’ results.
City boss Guardiola is hopeful that Haaland will be available for his next Premier League game, which will take him on against Liverpool at the Etihad on April 1.
Norway coach Ståle Solbakken confirmed that Haaland would not be fit for the Norway games.
