Erling Haaland earns almost £900,000 a week at Manchester City, Sports post has learned.
The Norwegian superstar, who has set the Premier League on fire since his £51million signing from Borussia Dortmund, is raising the staggering sum that makes him by far the highest paid player in the country.
It is understood that the 22-year-old will receive a base salary in line with the other higher earners at the Etihad Stadium. However, a series of substantial, almost guaranteed bonuses see his weekly pay rise above £850,000.

This newspaper revealed that City beat competition from a large number of clubs and reached an agreement with representatives of the mighty striker in April.
The fee – relatively low thanks to an escape clause in his contract with the German club – was seen at the time as a bargain for a player seen as Europe’s hottest young talent.
Now – after a blistering start in which the unplayable Haaland scored a barely credible 19 goals in 12 games – it looks like the deal of the century.

It also somewhat explains why Etihad officials are keen to impose a massive salary penalty on a man widely regarded as a game changer.
Thanks to a series of relatively simple bonuses, he is expected to raise at least £45 million (£865,000 a week) for a year’s work.
How that amount, which the agency world is apparently talking about, gets to other players remains to be seen, but few can argue with its impact.

Haaland, who hit three consecutive hat-tricks at home, including one in Sunday’s 6-3 Manchester United derby, is on his way to breaking existing records.
He has already scored 14 goals in eight Premier League games with a score that, while highly unlikely, would see him finish the season with 67 goals.
On Wednesday night, he hit two as City crushed Copenhagen 5-0 in the Champions League.
