Erik ten Hag is reportedly being pursued by Bayern Munich and Ajax, while his future at Old Trafford is yet to be confirmed.

Manchester United end their worst ever Premier League season with a visit to Brighton on Sunday, but could salvage a trophy if they run into trouble in the FA Cup final against Man City next week.

Bayern Munich are looking for a new manager after Thomas Tuchel confirmed he would be leaving the club.

Ten Hag’s former club Ajax is also looking for a new manager, while current interim John van ‘t Schip will leave the club.

The mirror have reported that Ten Hag is at the center of a ‘tug of war’ between Bayern Munich and Ajax, with both clubs confident the Dutchman will leave Old Trafford at the end of the season.

They believe he will leave the Red Devils even if they pull off an upset by beating Premier League title favorites Man City at Wembley in the FA Cup next week.

Manchester United are on course for their lowest result of the Premier League era, with the club currently eighth on 57 points. The club needs a draw against Brighton to equal their lowest ever points tally from the disastrous 2021/22 season.

Minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe will make a decision on the manager’s future after the upcoming cup final.

There are plenty of question marks over Ten Hag’s future after the end of this current season, but the Dutchman believes his side are showing the ‘right attitude’ even when things go wrong.

“I have no doubt about it,” he said when asked last week if he could be the man to take United forward.

‘As a human being and in my experience, this will always happen once every three months if you are not in the right position.

‘But usually this team has the right spirit and they implement the rules and principles of the game even if they have to adapt to their positions.

“I can only be happy and it is a great compliment to this team that they did everything they could and that they fought.”

Bayern Munich confirmed Tuchel’s departure in February but wanted to reverse their decision after struggling to find a suitable replacement.

Tuchel recently declared his love for the Premier League and suggested he could make a return to England.

He said: ‘It’s no secret that I loved it at Chelsea, I loved it in England and I certainly loved it in the Premier League. It was a very special time in England and I remember it very well.’

Ajax made attempts to recruit another former Chelsea boss in Graham Potter but failed in their pursuit.

Both Potter and Tuchel are among the names linked with the Manchester United job if the club decides to part ways with Ten Hag.
