Emmerdale revealed the whereabouts of Paddy Kirk on Tuesday night as his Ex-wives Mandy Dingle and Chas Dingle went looking for the missing vet.

But fans of the ITV soap opera were left questioning the pair’s detective skills when they failed to spot Paddy, who was standing just yards away.

During the episode, Charity (Emma Atkins) discovered that Paddy had been staying at a guest house in Skipdale while her family followed the sightings.

As Mandy and Chas were selected as the people for the job, viewers also criticized the choice citing that the sight of his ‘cheating ex-wives’ would not bring Paddy back.

Upon their arrival at the boarding house, Chas and Mandy were told that the vet was out for the day, but would be back later for the Celebrity Catchphrase.

‘This is all my fault. Paddy loved me and I did that to him! she screamed.

The duo jokingly discuss who was the best wife for him as Chas adds that Mandy is “not a terrible human and a good egg”.

“You have to forgive yourself and move on, you’re a good person who’s done some stupid things, and I’m, well, stupid,” she explained.

Chas then decides to return home, leaving Mandy in charge of bringing Paddy back home.

But fans of the show caught Paddy watching from the bottom of the path as she walked past him, while he walked off in the opposite direction.

Broadcasting her thoughts on Twitter, one viewer wrote: “He was practically standing in front of the car and she didn’t see him!”

Paddy first sparked fear when he went missing during last Thursday’s episode while struggling with his mental health amid his split from cheating wife Chas.

Subsequent scenes saw the vet consider taking his own life after suffering from depression since the breakup of his marriage, with the character feeling increasingly alone and isolated.
