EMILY PRESCOTT: Dara Huang dares to spoon it out about being born in privilege ahead of coronation weekend
The Royals enjoyed the glamor of the coronation, so I can’t help but wonder if the comments from the mother of Princess Beatrice’s stepson are a little pointed.
Dara Huang, who shares son Wolfie with Beatrice’s husband Edoardo, had some choice words about privilege during her Channel 4 design show, The Big Interiors Battle.
Dara, 40, says: ‘It makes me happy that none of the contestants get spoiled or put a silver spoon in their mouth. They are nice and come from hard working families like me.’

Jamie has a Lottie on his plate…
Having been described by Prince Harry in his memoir Spare as ‘the finest product of military training’, I have no doubt that Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton kept to a tight schedule yesterday.
Not only did the former SAS man, who was William and Harry’s private secretary for several years, keep an eye on his godson Prince George and Princess Charlotte right at one of the rehearsals, but he was also there to turn the pages yesterday in their carriages at Buckingham Palace.
He then rushed to the ITV studio to provide expert analysis alongside presenter Tom Bradby.

SpongeBob’s Royal Coup
They showed The Emoji Movie at the Queen’s funeral, so how did Channel 5 mark the coronation? By screening cartoon favorite SpongeBob SquarePants.
The decision did not faze Dan Walker, who hosts the channel’s main news bulletin. “That’s classic Channel 5,” he joked at the Stratford Literary Festival.
But Dan, 46, was more glued to the ceremony than SpongeBob: “As a history student, I love all the pomp and circumstance.”

Don’t worry if you missed an invite to yesterday’s pomp and circumstance, as I can reveal to you that there’s another way to catch a glimpse of the newly crowned king soon enough: paying £1.1 million for a four bedroom house in Sandringham.
The Grade II listed Station House is back on the market after a proposed sale fell through. The former home of the stationmaster is next to the now-defunct Wolferton station, which the Royal Family used when visiting their Norfolk retreat until the late 1960s. It’s not a palace, but it does have a turret and some very famous neighbors at Christmas…
Julie is a treasure
Perhaps the colleagues who complained about not being invited to the coronation should have followed Julie, Viscountess Hinchingbrooke’s example.
The American-born socialite – whose husband Luke Montagu is heir to the Earl of Sandwich – took the opportunity to dig up some heirlooms at her family’s home, Mapperton House in Dorset. In addition to finding her predecessors’ 1937 and 1953 coronation invitations, she discovered robes worn by the Earl of Sandwich, which had been stored away in rubbish bags for decades. That would make a good episode of Cash In The Attic!
