Speak with PEOPLE About the film, Damian revealed that his mother Elizabeth “promised” to be in his first picture years ago, and when it was greenlit, she “dropped everything” to participate.
He said: ‘It was a pleasure to come to work and tackle every day together.
“We only had 18 days to shoot the entire film, so our twin-like telepathy was invaluable throughout.”
“It was truly inspiring to work tirelessly with such a dedicated and talented cast. I am eternally grateful to everyone involved for their trust and belief in me.’
Damian praised his mother for keeping her promise to star in his first feature film during filming in December on the Caribbean island of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Sharing behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram, he wrote: ‘Everyone involved deserves public statements of worship (all of which will come in due course), but right now I want to salute @ElizabethHurley1 who was in the process of making my very first short film 2010 (when I was 8) promised me she would be in my first feature film; True to her word, as soon as this movie got the green light, Mom dropped everything and ran to the beautiful Caribbean to help. Working together was a dream.’
This isn’t the first time Elizabeth has starred in one of her son’s projects. She also flew to Saint Kitts and Nevis for his short film The Boy on the Beach.
Elizabeth’s previous roles include The Royals, Bedazzled and Austin Powers.
