EastEnders FIRST LOOK: ‘Allo ‘Allo star Vicki Michelle, 72, arrives in Albert Square as Brian Conley’s on-screen wife Jo Cotton
Brian Conley’s wife, Vicki Michelle, has joined the cast of EastEnders and will star as his on-screen wife, Jo Cotton.
The 72-year-old actress, best known for her role as Yvette Carte-Blanche in the BBC series Allo! Allo!, was photographed in Albert Square for the first time on Friday.
The producers revealed that Vicki has already started filming and will appear on screen in two episodes that will air next month.
Her character, Jo, married Rocky over 25 years ago, but her arrival could spell trouble for the car salesman who is currently engaged to Kathy Beale.
With the truth about his marital status about to be revealed, viewers of the soap opera will have to wait and see what Rocky’s reaction will be.
Brian Conley’s wife, Vicki Michelle, has joined the cast of EastEnders and is set to star as his on-screen wife, Jo Cotton.
Speaking about joining the show, Vicki said: “I’m so excited to be on EastEnders and everyone has been so lovely.”
“Jo Cotton is a great character and it’s a great story. I can’t wait for the audience to meet her.
Executive Producer Chris Clenshaw added: “We are delighted to welcome the immensely talented Vicki to the EastEnders family as she brings the character of Jo Cotton to life.
“Vicki is a perfect fit to take on the elusive character of Rocky’s wife that we know very little about.
“Bashful, witty and extremely glamorous, Jo is similar to her long-lost husband, Rocky, and unsurprisingly, she finds herself immediately drawn into the heart of the drama when she arrives in Walford.”
It comes after EastEnders fans were treated to a never-before-seen scene from the mysterious Christmas Day episode that shows the leading ladies from Walford standing over a dead man.
On Monday night, the legendary London soap focused solely on the stories of the matriarchs of the square.
Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) spent the night at the Queen Vic putting out fires in their personal lives.

As they became the last stragglers in the pub after the last few orders were drunk, Linda agreed to lock herself in and the six women began to toast ‘the men of our lives’.
Sharon begins by telling her friends, “To those who give us false hope and security,” and Stacey adds, “To those who try to undermine us.”
Linda says, ‘The ones who hurt us,’ while Denise replies, ‘The ones who play with our hearts.’
Kathy says, “The ones that take us for granted…and I’ve had a few of them,” and Suki adds, “The ones that try to keep us in the shadows.”

Turning back to Sharon, she says: ‘To all the fuckers we’ve been stupid enough to let into our hearts. Men, may they get what they deserve.
The six women repeat Sharon’s final statement and clink their drinks, before the scene cuts out and fans watch the trailer.
With the Queen Vic decked out in beautiful Christmas-themed flower arrangements throughout, as well as a well-lit festive tree, the camera pans to show Linda walking into the pub with a shocked expression on her face.
The body of an unidentified man, dressed in black pants and a white shirt, is then shown to the public.
