We will always be joined at the hips! Eamonn Holmes pays a heartfelt tribute to her late mother Josie on her birthday, just one day before she would have turned 94, weeks after her death.
Eamonn Holmes paid a heartfelt tribute to his late mother on her 63rd birthday on Saturday, the day before she turned 94.
The TV presenter announced that mother Josie had died at the age of 93 last month before she was buried in Belfast.
And this weekend, Eamonn took to Instagram to share a photo of him with his dad in which he can be seen sitting with his arm around her.
EMOTIONAL: Eamonn Holmes, 63, paid a heartfelt tribute to his late mother on her 63rd birthday on Saturday, the day before she would have turned 94.
He wrote: ‘So my birthday today and mum’s tomorrow. She passed away just 2 weeks short of her 94th birthday, but we will always be joined at her hip. Sagittarius. Always too alike.
Eamonn received well wishes and messages of condolences from his fans, including fellow TV presenter Carol Vorderman, who commented: “What a beautiful picture and always with her right now,” while actress and Loose Women panelist Denise Welch wrote: “Same day as my late mother.
The broadcaster announced the sad news that his mother had died at the age of 93 last month when he took to Instagram to share a photo of her.

He captioned the photo: ‘My 4 amazing siblings and I said our last goodbye to our beautiful mum Josie this afternoon. She now she finally she has reunited with dad. That is our only consolation.
“We love her and will miss her dearly. Every time she visited her she would come to the door to bless me with Holy Water and say goodbye. Now unfortunately she really is her Bye bye mom x.’
Eamonn’s father, Leonard, died at the age of 64 after a heart attack while driving more than 30 years ago.

Journalist Eamonn has previously spoken about his relationship with his mother when he called her his “hero”.
The former This Morning presenter recounted how Josie’s mind was still “sharp as a tack” and praised her for making him “the man that I am”.
He also reflected on his relationship with Josie, who lived in his hometown of Belfast, following the Queen’s death.
Eamonn said: “No matter how much you prepare for the death of a parent or how much you think you are prepared, it’s still a shock.”
“I think with the Queen that’s how it hit me and much of the nation, we’ve all known that. [that she’s been unwell] but still a shock.
