In Argylle, she made a cameo as LaGrange, playing the role of Henry Cavill’s character, Agylle’s love interest.
She said TIME Magazine that she calls these two ‘little baby roles’.
“I loved being on set,” the singer-turned-actress said. “I like the idea of embodying a different character and being given an assignment.”

She told TIME Magazine that she calls these two “little baby roles.”
“I also love it when I go to a photo shoot and I can completely change my look,” she said. “It gives me a different character.”
About her role in the Barbie movie, she added, “I loved being in the movie because it was so exciting to be part of something as special as this, with an incredible cast.”
‘I’m lucky with that [director] Greta Gerwig asked me to be the mermaid,” she said Fashion.
The Future Nostalgia singer continued sharing Vanity fair that she felt like she had “the biggest secret in the world, from the song to the little cameo.”
She adds that the experience was “fun and exciting” and has yet to confirm whether she wants to continue acting.
“It was a crazy back-to-back! It was like, okay, today I’m going to put on four different colored wigs and a mermaid tail, and tomorrow I’m going to fly and get back on stage and do something completely different,” she told the outlet.
This comes as she announced the name and release date of her highly anticipated third studio album on Wednesday.
The three-time Grammy Award winner revealed that the album will be called Radical Optimism and will be available to stream or purchase on May 3.
Radical optimism has already produced hit singles Houdini and Training Season. It will contain a total of 11 songs.
The album has been described by Rolling Stone as “pop bliss” and the magazine says it is “uniquely and utterly Dua Lipa: confident dance pop full of witty one-liners that are Instagram-ready.”
Radical Optimism follows Dua’s debut album Dua Lipa, released in 2017, and Future Nostalgia, released in 2020.
Infused with the energy of Dua’s hometown of London, the album’s attitude embodies the rawness, honesty, confidence and freedom of ’90s Britpop.
She said: ‘A few years ago a friend introduced me to the term radical optimism.
‘It’s a concept that resonated with me, and I became more curious as I started to play with it and weave it into my life.
“It struck me: the idea of moving through chaos gracefully and feeling like you can weather any storm.
‘At the same time I was browsing through the music history of psychedelia, trip hop and Britpop.
“It’s always felt so confident and optimistic to me, and that honesty and attitude is a feeling I carried with me into my recording sessions.”

Earlier in March, Dua opened the BRIT Awards with an electric performance of Training Season before taking home her 7th BRIT Award for Best Pop Act.
She also opened the Grammy Awards, where she performed a medley of Training Season, Dance The Night and Houdini.
Dua recently became the first female artist to reach two billion streams on Spotify with four songs, achieved with One Kiss, Don’t Start Now, New Rules and Levitating.
