Drew Barrymore defiantly removed her hair extensions on her ABC talk show during a candid conversation with Pamela Anderson about embracing natural beauty.
In a preview clip ahead of Tuesday’s episode, the host, 49, was mid-conversation with the former Playboy model, 57, when she stopped herself and pried the accessory from her scalp.
After pulling out the hairpiece and slinging it around the studio, Drew said she started wearing it because of perimenopause symptoms.
“Sorry, if we really want to be honest here,” Drew said as she started pulling her head, interrupting Pamela as she admitted that she would wear makeup to become a character.
The host then began undoing the clip-ins, prompting fellow guest Valerie Bertinelli to exclaim, “I love you so much.”

“Oh my god, this is amazing,” Pamela added. ‘That’s right. Letting go. You don’t need that.’
Drew then explained, “So another great symptom of perimenopause is that you start to lose your hair.”
“You have a lot of hair, your hair is beautiful,” Pamela commented, as Drew replied, “It’s okay.” It’s not bad.’
Valerie, 64, joked, “You can have a full face of makeup, feel like the makeup is nice, but if you have a bad hair day, it’s like, no, that’s not going to happen.”
“And if you’re having a great hair day, you’ll feel much more confident wearing less makeup because you’ll feel so good about your presentation that everything else will fall into place,” Drew added.
Drew has spoken out in recent months about experiencing symptoms of perimenopause.
In February, she announced that she had become a brand ambassador for Dr. Dr.’s daily perimenopause and menopause supplement. Kellyann.
“Yes, the dreaded ‘M-word’ that we don’t have to be ashamed of because EVERY woman goes through menopause!” Drew captioned her post.

A stunned Pamela was stunned by Drew’s stunt and exclaimed, “Oh my god, this is amazing!”
‘The hormonal weight gain, hot flashes, sleepless nights, fatigue, the mood swings. You are not alone and you do not have to feel powerless when your body goes into transition.’
In one playful shot, the mother of two stood on a rooftop, wearing a mustard yellow coat, as she teased, “I just had to come out here and get something off my chest.”
“I’m not afraid of perimenopause anymore,” she shouted animatedly.
On Tuesday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Drew, her guests and her entire studio audience spent the entire episode wearing makeup for free in honor of naked beautiful maven Pamela.
The ET star was also joined by Gillian Anderson and Gayle King for a no-holds-barred chat about aging.
Elsewhere in her conversation with Pamela, the media personality explained what prompted her to take the free trip.
“Well, it was during Paris Fashion Week and I decided I was just going to go to a fashion show, I didn’t have to compete with anyone,” Pamela shared.

“Like, why am I wasting three hours in a makeup chair when I’m wearing these beautiful Vivienne Westwood clothes, and I didn’t know anyone would even notice.
“So that’s what I thought, when people came up to me and talked about it, I thought, this is a great message to really let go and rediscover who I was.
‘I wanted to remember who I was. I found myself playing characters all my life. I always wanted that. You know, I was painfully shy as a child and even playing Playboy was a huge leap of faith for me.
“It was just, you know, I was physically ill when I did it, but I didn’t want to be shy anymore. And I just thought, this is my fantasy of what a model is, or a playmate, or a rock star wife, or whatever.”
Pamela said she had played characters along the way and over the years she noticed she had lost sight of who she was.
‘Then I went home to my garden and started planting things, getting out into nature and going back to the trees that had known me since birth.
“I bought my grandmother’s place and renovated it, and I started taking it all back and then started peeking out without makeup.
‘And then I started to realize, ‘Oh, I feel great when I’m,’ and I don’t want people to think of me as the other, all those cartoon characters that I kind of created for protection, that’s what I think I I did it because, you know, looking back, but this is the best time of my life.
‘I feel so powerful and so free and so enthusiastic about life again.’
