Drew Barrymore gives rare glimpse at her eclectic bedroom – including wallpaper on the CEILING – as she packs for upcoming trip to Australia

Drew Barrymore gave a rare glimpse into her bedroom in a new Instagram reel on Thursday as she packed up for her upcoming trip to Australia.

The 49-year-old Charlie’s Angels actress, who recently revealed her secret battle with “self-doubt,” posted a selfie video showing off the items she planned to pack on her trip.

The star will travel to Sydney to take part in wellness brand Wanderlust’s True North event for two nights from August 2.

Barrymore started the clip in her bathroom, telling her fans and followers, “Okay, I’m packing my things for Australia!”

She panned her camera to show a white sink filled with miscellaneous items and a large makeup bag resting on the edge.

“I’m trying to get ready,” Drew added as she walked out of the bathroom into her spacious bedroom.

The star walked over to her unmade bed and a bench in front of it, on which sat small suitcases and unfolded clothes.

She grabbed a plastic bag and continued, “I have my books, my camera, my film, and the beautiful suitcase we’re working on, it’s so pretty…”

The Drew Barrymore Show host held up a small, dark red suitcase that was still empty before walking back into the bathroom.

As she did so, fans were able to get a bigger view of her bedroom, which featured a number of paintings on the walls and large windows allowing natural light to stream in.

The ceiling also appeared to be covered in patterned wallpaper, while colorful rugs partially covered the wooden floor.

On the other side of the room, opposite the bed, were two chairs and in the corner, under one of the windows, was a desk.

Below the paintings was another smaller table, surrounded by comfortable yellow chairs decorated with flowers on either side. Directly in front of it was a dog basket.

“Australia, here we come,” the actress said toward the end of the video. “Hope to see you there.”

“I hope to talk about well-being in a very realistic way,” she said, pointing humorously at herself. “That’s obvious.”

Barrymore ended the clip standing in a space that connects the bathroom to the master bedroom. It looked like a closet, with some clothes hanging behind her.

In the caption, Drew wrote: ‘Australia, here I come! See you soon for two amazing nights at @wanderlustausnz! Can’t wait to talk wellness with you all in a very real way!’

Last February, the Ever After actress gave her fans a glimpse into her messy bedroom ‘before’ and ‘after’ cleaning.

She showed the cluttered space, which included various boxes and belongings scattered across the floor, and piles of papers, books and possibly scripts next to the bed.

The video cuts to a later time, after the star has cleaned up the bedroom and bathroom, and she shows a proud look on her face for her big achievement.

The star will visit the ICC Sydney Theatre on August 2, before moving on to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on August 3.

Barrymore “will showcase her extraordinary life on stage and then take the chair to interview a number of Australian celebrities,” according to the official website. Other guests, including G Flip, will also be in attendance for the festivities.

“Australia, here we come,” the actress said toward the end of the video. “Hope to see you there.”

“In addition, everyone will experience the exciting feeling of a mass meditation and get to know the inspiring work of Bridge It, our community partner,” the shows further describe.

‘From heartfelt conversations to unexpected surprises, this event is a celebration of life, love and the pursuit of happiness.’

Barrymore announced in April that she would be visiting Australia as part of the Wanderlust tour. In a statement, she expressed her excitement and shared her “life story.”

“My life’s journey has been an extraordinary odyssey,” she began.

“I’m thrilled to share my life story of my successes, setbacks and everything in between in Australia, one of my favorite countries, on Wanderlust True North,” Drew continued, adding that she was “excited” to join the other guests.

‘This will be an unforgettable evening filled with heartwarming laughter, joy and an abundance of touching moments that will inspire you to be the best version of yourself, and as Wanderlust emphasizes: “Find your True North.”‘

Her trip to Australia will be her first in five years, and the star recently opened up about the Sunday Telegraph about her doubts about herself in the midst of her success.

Her trip to Australia will be her first in five years, and the star recently told the Sunday Telegraph that she had doubted herself amid her success

“I was living in the most unsafe place I’ve ever known, so I would go outside, drink a lot, and do all sorts of things to escape this cage,” Barrymore told the newspaper.

‘I don’t know. I’ll be 50 soon and then I’ll have to build a house here where it’s nice to live, because the outside world is out of my control…’

Drew added, “I want to be able to go inside myself and know that I can find peace there. That’s a shocking turn of events.”

The ET star also explained that she felt like people sometimes view themselves with “negative self-talk,” which is critical and unaccepting.
