Don’t get your hopes up on that Hollow Knight Silksong Xbox store page; other platforms have had one for a while
Arguably one of the most striking things to come out of the annual minefield that was April Fool’s Day Hollow Knight Silk Song‘S brand new page in the Xbox Store.
The store page itself is fairly unremarkable and contains no new information beyond an age rating that had not previously been confirmed. It’s also quite simple, with just a brief product description and a handful of screenshots we’ve seen before.
What is remarkable, however, is that the existence of Hollow Knight Silksongs new Xbox store page is indeed real and is still live after April Fools’ Day, as Xbox product marketing manager Tao Sila notes X/Twitter.
No, this is not an April Fool’s joke. The #HollowKnightSilksong wishlist page is actually on Xbox https://t.co/cjL1X3M4ZgApril 1, 2024
Should we get our hopes up?
As mentioned, there is one new piece of information on this store page Hollow Knight Silksongs age rating of E10+ / PEGI 7. This is nothing groundbreaking though as it is the exact same age rating given to the original Hollow Knight back in 2017.
But an age rating usually means a game isn’t far from release, right? Well, not necessarily. If GameRadar points out, a mention for Hollow Knight Silk Song has yet to appear on the ESRB’s official website, indicating that any age rating has yet to be finalized.
To further dampen your mood, turn pages for Hollow Knight Silk Song are nothing new. You can head to Steam, the PlayStation Store, or even the Nintendo Switch eShop to find deals on the game; they have yet to be updated with the game’s preliminary age rating.
So is Hollow Knight Silk Song is approaching its legendary release or is this just a bit of housekeeping by developer Team Cherry to ensure the product is visible on all supported storefronts? It’s most likely the latter, but hey, any rumor about one of the most anticipated upcoming games is welcome in my book.
