Pollsters and political strategists argue that Colorado Supreme Court ruling will only boost Donald Trump's chances of winning in 2024

“Donald Trump thrives on negativity, he thrives on legal systems that try to hold him accountable. And I'm confident his voting numbers will increase,” pollster and political consultant Frank Luntz told CNN.

Earlier this week, pollsters and political strategists claimed Trump is more likely to win in 2024 after Colorado decided to keep the ex-president off the primary ballot.

Colorado's ruling to remove Donald Trump from the state's primary will be “rocket fuel” for his chances of winning the White House in a rematch against Joe Biden in 2024, pollsters and experts predict.

The former president's son Eric Trump also claimed that the Colorado Supreme Court's decision will boost his father's standing in the Republican primaries by at least 5 percent.

It came after a ruling Tuesday night by the state's highest court that Trump had violated Section 3 of the 14th Amendment — the Constitution's so-called “insurrection clause.”

The 4-3 decision by the Democratic-appointed judges was that Trump participated in an insurrection on January 6, 2021 and therefore disqualified himself from running for public office.

This is the first time in history that the insurrection clause has been used to prevent a presidential candidate from appearing on a state's presidential ballot.

But Trump's campaign plans to take the issue to the U.S. Supreme Court, where the split includes six conservative justices and three liberal justices. Three of the sitting judges were appointed by Trump.

High-profile pollster and political consultant Frank Luntz said in an interview Tuesday that the Colorado ruling will have “the same impact as his 91 indictments,” boosting Trump's poll numbers.

“The chance that Trump will beat Biden is now even greater,” he predicted in the interview.

Trump faces charges in New York, Washington, DC, Florida and Georgia for election interference, mishandling classified documents and hush money payments.

With each new set of charges, Trump has seen an increase in his polls in his already commanding lead in the primary race.

“Every time Trump has done that [h]and a negative involvement in the justice system, it has been like rocket fuel for Republican voters because it reinforces his core message that he is (and has been) treated unfairly since he burst onto the scene,” said Republican strategist Scott Jennings . in a statement to DailyMail.com.

“Republicans see this the same way they saw the two impeachments, the indictments, the Russia investigation and all the rest – just another attempt by elites and Democrats to prevent Trump and his voters from getting a fair shake in the election.” ,” he added, echoing Luntz's views on the latest ruling.

“For Trump haters, this is like getting drunk at the office Christmas party,” Jennings said. “It may seem fun tonight, but tomorrow you will really regret it.”

Trump lost Colorado to Joe Biden by 13 points in 2020 and does not need the state to win back the White House in 2024.

Former President Donald Trump, seen in 2016, offering Christmas wrapping paper with the mugshot taken as he was being processed in Fulton County, Georgia

Making a List: Trump Campaign Markets President's Infamous Mugshot on Wrapping Paper Offered as Gifts to Contributors

Last month, Trump unveiled his infamous mugshot on Christmas-themed wrapping paper in a plea for campaign donations.

Trump, who is known to hold campaign rallies with striking Christmas decor and who claimed in 2016 to have brought back the phrase “Merry Christmas,” sent an email appeal to his supporters on Saturday.

“If you're anything like President Trump, all you want for Christmas is…MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” began the call from 'Team Trump.'

“That's why the President has directed our team to start sending FREE rolls of our limited edition wrapping paper to ANY patriot who contributes $47 or more to help save our country from corrupt Joe Biden and the Radical Democrats .'

A link takes supporters to a donation page with an image of a large wrapped box with a green bow on it.

The gift is wrapped in paper with a black-and-white image of Trump after he was processed at a Fulton County courthouse after being indicted on racketeering charges related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.

The photo has been altered to show Trump wearing a Santa hat.

The page states that the 'NEVER SURRENDER MUGSHOT PAPER' is a 'FREE' gift for those who donate. Visitors are then asked to click on tabs that range from $47 to $3,300, the maximum allowable individual federal campaign contribution.

It's a limited-edition offering tied to the holidays, which fall just weeks before the Iowa caucuses and give Ron DeSantis the best chance to dent his leading rival.

Supporters can also pay $35 for “MAGA Fist Bump Wrapping paper” on Trump's merchandise page, where he previously marketed his mugshot on a coffee mug.

For those who can't wait until Christmas morning for their Trump surprise, there is also a 'Never Surrender Christmas Stocking' on offer.

While Trump is milking his mugshot to boost his campaign coffers, his legal quagmire has also cost him dearly tens of millions of dollars in legal fees.
