Donald Trump reveals why he thinks ‘something is wrong’ with Tim Walz and thanks the Democrat’s family for endorsing him

Donald Trump thinks there’s something wrong with Kamala Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

It comes on the same day that more family members of the Democratic vice presidential nominee announce they will vote for Trump in November.

Trump defended his running mate JD Vance after Democrats branded him “odd” this summer.

But the former president says Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz is “a strange man.”

“There’s something strange about that guy,” Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity during a live event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday.

“JD is not weird, he’s a rock. I happen to be a rock,” the 2024 Republican presidential candidate continued. “We’re not weird — we may be different things, but we’re not weird.”

‘[Walz] is a weird guy. He walks on stage – there’s something wrong with this guy, and he called me weird. And then the fake news media picks it up. That was the word of the day – weird, weird, weird.’

“But we’re not weird guys, we’re actually very solid people,” Trump concluded.

Earlier on Wednesday, a photo surfaced of eight of Walz’s relatives, through his great-uncle on his grandfather’s side, showing them supporting Trump and planning to vote for him in November.

It came just days after it was revealed that Walz’s older, estranged brother Jeff, 67, had shared posts on Facebook claiming that Americans should not want someone with the “character” of the Minnesota governor in the White House.

“I felt so honored today,” Trump told Hannity. “His brother supported me.”

“And his whole family — I saw the picture,” he continued. “To be honest, they were a very nice-looking family. But his family supported me and the whole family supported me.”

Trump posted on Truth Social on Wednesday that he was looking forward to meeting Jeff Walz, who lives with his wife in the Florida panhandle.

Fox News proposed a debate between Trump and Harris on Wednesday in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, but the vice president’s team rejected the proposal and settled on the ABC News showdown in Philadelphia on Sept. 10 as the first debate.

Instead of holding the first debate on Wednesday, Trump went to Harrisburg for a town hall meeting led by Hannity.

“This is the best we could do, Sean,” Trump said of their revised plan.

The photo of Walz’s family was shared by former Republican Party candidate for Nebraska governor Charles W. Herbster, showing eight people wearing T-shirts that read “Nebraska Walz’s for Trump.”

A spokesperson for Herbster told DailyMail.com that the people in the photo are related to Walz through his grandfather’s brother.

“Tim Walz’s family in Nebraska wants you to know something…,” Herbster captioned the photo.

Trump responded to the image on Wednesday by teasing his plans to “meet” with another Walz relative not pictured: the governor’s older brother, Jeff, who the former president said is supporting his bid for the White House.

The photo quickly went viral among MAGA supporters, who say his own family’s opposition to his candidacy proves people should be wary of voting for Harris-Walz.

Jeff Walz posted a message on Facebook last week about his brother’s character: “I am 100% against all of his ideologies.”

But Jeff now admits that his social media activities were not intended to influence voters.

“It was not my intention, nor was it our intention as a family, to put anything out there to influence the general public,” Jeff Walz told NewsNation.

“I got a lot of feedback from my friends and old acquaintances. They thought I felt the same way as my brother, and I tried to make that clear to my friends,” he continued.

“I used Facebook, which wasn’t the right platform to do that. But I will say, I don’t agree with his policies.”

The married father of two was encouraged by other users to show his support for the Trump campaign.

Jeff, who lives in Freeport, Florida, with his wife, Laurie, responded, “I’ve thought long and hard about doing something like this! I’m torn between that and leaving my family out of it.”

“The stories I could tell. Not the type of character you want making decisions about your future.”

He said it’s been eight years since he last spoke to his younger brother Tim.
