Distressing moment petrified Asian man is attacked by gang in DC who try to pull him from his car, punch him and hurl liquid on him while laughing

A motorist was brutally attacked in his car by a group of men who hit him on the head twelve times before a woman poured liquid on him.

The man was ambushed on U Street in downtown Washington DC on Wednesday evening while stuck in traffic.

He was stopped by people standing in front of his car when one of the attackers pulled open the door and started beating him.

The attacker then grabbed his legs and tried to pull him out of the car, allowing the entire group to slam him to the ground.

The driver held on to his seat cover for dear life and could not resist being dragged out, so the attackers started beating him again.

The first was joined by a second before he leaned into the car and crashed into the driver, who desperately tried to shield his face with his hands.

The video featured a woman in a pink jumper pouring liquid on the driver, before another man delivered another series of punches as he begged them to stop.

A man claimed on Instagram that the man was attacked because he was “recording my sister.”

However, he later made another post retracting her accusation and confirming that the driver had done nothing to deserve the beating.

“I just had a blackout moment… Yes, I was wrong and I also apologize to the man wherever he is,” he wrote, later deleting his account.

U Street is a popular entertainment district filled with bars, restaurants and nightclubs, but has also been the scene of recent shootings.

Police said the man had not filed a report and therefore had no information about the attack. They urged anyone with information to contact them.
