Disneyland guest SLAMS its ‘atrocious’ lines and and sky-high prices – insisting the theme park is ‘not worth the money or the effort anymore’

It was once called the Happiest Place on Earth – but according to one very unhappy Disneyland guest, the once-beloved park has completely lost its magic.

A Reddit user took to the website to hit out at the iconic park, claiming that exorbitant ticket prices and long wait times have become so ‘outrageous’ that visiting the tourist hotspot is no longer worth the effort or money.

“Literally everything is a queue,” complained the user on Unpopular opinion subreddit. ‘Going to the bathroom, Radha. do you want to eat Turns. Want to buy a souvenir? Turns. Want to get a glimpse of something? Next time…’

The concerned visitor went on to say they experienced a ’20 minute (to) 1 hour’ wait time at the park – and that’s not even for the rides.

“We bought a gin card+ it was enough to get us on a few rides, the only attempt we made to ride without the gin card we waited in line for 2 hours only for the ride to be cancelled,” they said. . “Of course Disneyland doesn’t do rain checks unless you have a fast pass…”

The bottom line for the most disgruntled visitor on earth was the quality of the rides they managed to go on.

“The nail in the coffin is that Disneyland no longer offers things that other theme parks no longer offer,” they lamented.

“Their ride technology and themed areas are on par with places like Universal Studios (which is less than half the cost),” they continued. “Any advantage they have in quality is completely diminished by the sheer number of people and lines you have to constantly compete with.”

The disappointed Disney fan said they’ve also noticed that people don’t notice the details or the work that went into the park when there are crowds of people.

“I just don’t see the money or the effort being worth it anymore,” they said simply.

“It’s pretty clear that Disney’s popularity just keeps growing and ticket prices keep going up,” those users continued. “So the park will continue to get more expensive and more crowded.”

Thousands of Reddit users commented on the post, many agreeing that the cost of the famous park has spiraled out of control.

“I took my kids last year and the crowds were unbearable,” admitted one Reddit user. We went to Knotts Berry Farm this year and had a much better time.

Others said they have noticed a difference in their time visiting the park.

“Dads are part of the career cast, so I grew up going all the time. I am 28 years old and I can’t anymore. Even if it’s not that crowded on a day you go, no one has any interest in stopping and enjoying things or admiring the details and things anyway, so the whole ambience that makes Disney stand out is simply ignored completely. It is fundamentally frustrating.

“Honestly, I think it also depends on WHEN you’re going,” noted another. Avoid during the summer holidays when all the kids are out of school, maybe even the holidays. It goes on Monday instead of Saturday.’

Still, others admitted that while it’s an expensive — and sometimes long — day, it’s worth it.

“It sure is too expensive. But I was there last week and we still had a blast,” admitted one happy Reddit user.

Rise of the Resistance is the best non-coaster fun ride ever created. Both Haunted Mansion (Nightmare edition) and Pirates have never looked better.

Food options at the park have never been better. Like legit good food instead of just eating something and thinking “at least I’m not hungry anymore.”

The Reddit user isn’t the only person criticizing Disney for being the most expensive place on earth.

In August, Canadian father-of-two Mario Zelaya took to TikTok to reveal the staggering cost of visiting Disneyland Paris, slamming the theme park as a ‘money grab’.

Mario revealed he spent $1,200 on tickets for his family alone after advising people to avoid Disneyland.

“Here are the rules of Disney”, he wrote in the now viral post.

‘Expect insanely long wait times. If you don’t want to wait in line, expect a huge bill to upgrade to a Premier Pass,” he wrote. “If you decide to queue instead because the Premier pass doesn’t cover all journeys, expect a big bill regardless.”
