Survivors said they were at a party on a larger yacht and when they decided to leave, six of them used a speedboat that capsized after it went to pick them up.
Five people, two men and three women, were rescued and given medical attention.
They had injuries caused by the collision with parts of the ship and rocks in the region.
The city of Sao Vicente said in a statement that the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) had been called to respond to the incident.
After initial care, four of the rescued were taken to the central emergency room, while one refused further medical attention. At the health department, the remaining four were given medication and discharged from the hospital.
Nilce Aparecida Silva, a resident of Praia Grande, is a cousin of missing woman Beatriz and she took to Facebook to ask for prayers so that she could be found alive.
She said: ‘Bia is not only a cousin, but also my granddaughter’s godmother. She loved the sea and whenever she came to the coast she always found a way to stop by our house. We pray she will be found alive.”
Just before the tragedy struck, influencer Aline had posted photos of herself on the luxury yacht alongside her friends
After the search, Nilce made her home available to other Beatriz family members. According to her, Beatriz lived in the eastern zone of Sao Paulo.
A survivor Camila Alves, 20, took to social media to give details about the accident.
‘During the trip, a very strong wave caused the boat to capsize on top of us. We saw three life jackets and two liters of gasoline. They all took one and tried to fight for their lives,” she recalls.
‘None of the girls could swim. Everyone started getting lost and trying to save themselves,” adding that “people were seriously injured in the accident. I hit my head on the rock and got stitched up. Everyone was really hurt.”
She also called on the public to “pray for the girls so that they may be found alive and well.”
The ‘Devil’s Throat’, the region where the accident occurred, is located between Porchat Island and Xixova-Japui State Park, in Sao Vicente. It attracts surfers because of its waves, but hides several dangers because of the strong currents that hit the area.
It comes as Brazilian OnlyFans model Adriana Vieira, 31, was found dead in a Florida port last week after partying on a rapper’s yacht.
The mother of one reportedly went swimming the night before she was found in the Port of Miami.
The name of the rapper who organized the party has not been released.
Vieira, originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, reportedly arrived in Florida with her husband two years ago and posted photos of their lavish lifestyle on social media.
Her husband, named Roberto Tesario, returned to Brazil shortly after leaving Adriana to raise their child alone.
Her mother Antonia de Lourdes Vieira told Brazilian media: “I want my daughter’s death to be investigated and I need help to bring her body back.
“I don’t know how long I have before she’s buried in a pauper’s grave.”
Vieira’s six-year-old son is reportedly being cared for by a nanny while her family travels to the US.
