She plays an aging actress who goes to great lengths to maintain her youthful appearance in her hit horror satire The Substance.
But Demi Moore already looked shockingly youthful when she hit the carpet at the SFFILM awards ceremony in San Francisco, California, on Monday.
The 62-year-old star – who recently gave an emotional update on her ex-husband Bruce Willis’ condition – showed off her glowing skin as she looked chic in a figure-hugging black dress and matching black denim jacket.
She was among the evening’s nominees, along with Dune: Part Two filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, Saturday Night director Jason Reitman and The Piano Lesson filmmaker Malcolm Washington, the son of Denzel Washington and brother of star John David Washington.
Other stars who made a splash on the red carpet at the film organization, which hosts the San Francisco International Film Festival, included Dune star Austin Butler, Gladiator II actress Connie Nielsen and Saturday Night actor Gabrielle LaBelle.
Demi set pulses racing in her low-cut dress, which hugged her hips and had a skirt that reached the carpet.

Demi topped off her look with a cropped black waxed denim jacket with an attached belt.
She complemented the casual yet stylish jacket with a similarly understated silver chain around her throat
The necklace had three diamond-encrusted strands prominently visible across the front, and Demi wore matching diamond-encrusted earrings in the exact same shame as the chain’s links.
The entire all-black ensemble was perfectly held together by the Ghost star’s long raven braids, which she wore straight with a center parting to put the spotlight on her age-defying face.
She had a special guest for the evening, her adorable Chihuahua Pilaf, who was a key part of her recent publicity campaign.
Demi has received some of the best reviews of her career for The Substance, which has already earned her a Golden Globe nomination.
In the over-the-top horror film – directed by French filmmaker Coralie Fargeat – she plays a former Oscar winner named Elisabeth Sparkle, who now hosts a popular aerobics TV show.
However, after she turns 50, Elisabeth is dumped from her series by her pig boss Harvey (Dennis Quaid), even though her younger replacement is not yet insured.

She finds a way to age after discovering a mysterious drug – “the substance” – that allows her to inhabit a much younger body (played by Margaret Qualley).
But the two bodies must take turns using their bodies, and when they inevitably overrun their turns, both suffer stomach-churning side effects that send some audience members running from the theaters in fits of nausea.
Demi was honored with the Maria Manetti Shrem Award for Acting during the ceremony.
