Her departure comes after Davina revealed that she is ‘begging’ ITV bosses to book her to present a ‘half-life’ version of the dating show Love Island.
The host and fitness guru was 50 when she split from her husband Matthew Roberston in 2017. She is currently dating her hairdresser Michael Douglas.
Davina now wants to help other older singles find love and said the show would be full of “interesting people” who “have lived a life”.
Speaking on the Diary of a CEO podcast, he said that he “has no shame or embarrassment to send an email to a TV company or the head of a TV company and say ‘have you thought about this?’ as she revealed that she’s “literally begging ITV to let me host middle-aged Love Island.”

Coverage: Hosted the show, usually hosted by Claudia Winkleman, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“I could fill a villa on Love Island with middle-aged people with the best backstories you’ve ever heard in your life,” he told presenter Stephen Bartlett.
They have lived one life: they are widows, they are people who have been through horrible divorces. They are people who have separated from someone and have decided that they want to try dating someone of the same sex.
They’re like interesting people. I would watch that show.
Miss McCall, who is currently a judge on The Masked Singer, said ITV is investigating a similar show and they “might consider” her as a presenter.
She continued: “I was like ‘I need to introduce it please.’ They said ‘We’re looking at something else that’s pretty similar, we might consider you for that.’
