David Moyes jokes he’ll be glad to see the back of ‘Liverpool’s daddy’ Jurgen Klopp and his ‘too bright teeth’ when he leaves at the end of the season after his Hammers side dent Reds’ Premier League title charge

David Moyes joked he can’t wait to see the back of Jurgen Klopp after sharing the touchline with the Liverpool boss for the final time.

Klopp will end his nine-year reign at Anfield at the end of the season, with Feyenoord’s Arne Slot replacing the popular boss.

The German is currently on a farewell tour of Premier League grounds and saw his side drop two more points in their faltering title challenge as they were held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham at the London Stadium.

After the match, Moyes was asked about Klopp’s departure at his post-match press conference, with the Scot amusingly admitting he was happy to see the Reds boss’ back, before praising his impact on the Premier League.

“I’ll be glad when he’s gone.” Moyes joked.

“It’s too damn big. Teeth are too bright.

‘I hate to say it because I’ve worked for the club’s biggest rivals, but I think he’s been huge for Liverpool, I think he’s the father there, I really do.

‘He has been able to control a big football club, which is sometimes not easy, but he has kept it under control. But I’m glad to see the back of him, I must say.

‘The Premier League brings in a lot of managers from different places, some come and go very quickly, others can last.’

It is no surprise that Moyes is happy to see Klopp end his spell in the Premier League, having beaten his counterpart just once in 14 meetings.

However, his West Ham side put another dent in Liverpool’s faltering title hopes by holding the Reds to a 2-2 draw at the London Stadium.

Jarrod Bowen put the Hammers ahead just before half-time, scoring his twentieth goal of the season in all competitions.

Second-half goals from Andrew Robertson and an own goal from goalkeeper Alephonse Areola put Liverpool in control before Michail Antonio equalized thirteen minutes from time.

Klopp now has just three games left in the Liverpool hotseat before he brings the curtain down on his tenure on Merseyside.

His replacement, Slot, will be confirmed in the coming days after the club agreed a compensation package with Feyenoord to make the Dutchman the new manager.
