Tarryn Thomas is in trouble with police AGAIN for allegedly harassing his ex – after being sacked for his treatment of women

Axed footy star Tarryn Thomas is facing a new police investigation after allegedly harassing an ex-girlfriend in what would be a huge blow to his chances of returning to the AFL.

The latest allegations were reported to Victoria Police last month, a force spokesman said.

‘The police are investigating after reports of intimidating telephone contact. A police report was filed on April 11 and the investigation into the incident is still ongoing,ā€ the spokesperson said News Corp.

No charges have been filed.

Thomas was sacked by North Melbourne last February after being banned by the AFL for 18 weeks for his inappropriate behavior towards a woman.

The League found that he “engaged in multiple acts of misconduct, including threatening a woman on multiple occasions via direct messages.”

He has been put on a behavioral program and will only be allowed to return to the AFL if league bosses are convinced he has turned a corner.

It recently emerged that some AFL clubs are exploring the possibility of bringing the 24-year-old back to the top flight after Essendon coach Brad Scott said he ‘deserves a second chance’ in football.

News of the new police investigation comes just days after a leaked email from North Melbourne CEO Jennifer Watt to the bosses of all 17 other teams claimed Thomas was ‘unable to meaningfully change his behaviour’ when he was at the club.

He was forced to undertake four behavior change programs before being dropped by the Kangaroos.

Thomas was suspended for 18 matches for inappropriate conduct after allegedly committing multiple misconduct, including threatening a woman.

The midfielder is not allowed to play football at any level until July 22. To return to the AFL system he must convince the league he has changed.

He was accused of threatening to distribute an intimate image of a woman in 2023, but that was later changed to a charge of using a carriage service to harass someone.

Thomas walked out of court without a conviction in July last year after being granted a reprieve, but was ordered to pay $1,000 to charity.

In April 2023, North fined Thomas $5,000 for a video he posted on social media that showed him behind the wheel of his Mercedes with his feet on the dashboard as the vehicle drifted between two lanes.

He was also required to donate another $5,000 to a road safety charity.
