Date night! Joe and Jill watch Oppenheimer and take a romantic walk on the beach under the supermoon during their Rehoboth Beach vacation – as Trump’s third indictment rocks DC

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden were enjoying a date night in Rehoboth Beach Tuesday night as Donald Trump was indicted for the third time and hours after their son’s business partner testified before Congress about Hunter’s business dealings.

“It was riveting,” Biden told the press after he finished watching the three-hour film.

They ended their date night with a romantic walk on the beach to see the super moon. The president had put his arm around the first lady.

The Bidens, on a week-long trip to their $2 million beach house, had a seafood meal at Matt’s Fish Camp before heading to the local theater to see Oppenheimer, the movie about the man who developed the atomic bomb.

While they were enjoying a night out, a bombshell fell on Donald Trump, who was indicted for the third time.

Trump faces four charges, including conspiracy to defraud the US government and obstruct the election count because he attempted to overturn the 2020 election. The 45-page indictment says he was “determined to stay in power” despite “losing” the presidency to Biden.

The former president, who faces up to 55 years in prison, has been subpoenaed to appear before U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan – an Obama appointee – on Thursday in Washington, DC. There are also six unnamed alleged co-conspirators according to the indictment.

Trump and his co-conspirators “knowingly used false claims of election fraud” to try to “undermine legitimate election results and alter election votes” to bring down Joe Biden, the indictment said.

Trump already faces 40 federal charges in Florida over his handling of sensitive government documents after his term in office, and will face trial next year in New York for falsifying business records after making a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.

The White House has not commented on any of the previous indictments, noting that they do not comment on pending legal matters.

Biden revealed in a recent interview with Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast that he hadn’t seen Oppenheimer, which is garnering Oscar buzz, but wanted to.

While enjoying the sunny air and fresh air, Hunter’s Biden’s former friend and business partner Devon Archer was on Capitol Hill to testify before the House Oversight Committee about Hunter’s foreign business deals.

Archer was subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee. House Republicans allege that Hunter Biden used his father’s status as vice president to further his business interests. They hope Archer can provide evidence that the president was directly involved in his son’s alleged dealings.

President Biden had denied any involvement in Hunter’s business affairs.

Archer told Congress in overwhelming testimony Monday that the “Biden brand” helped prevent the Ukrainian company Burisma from going bankrupt. He also revealed that Joe was on the phone or in person at least 20 times while his son, who called him “my husband,” spoke to foreign business associates.

After Archer’s testimony, Republicans now say they may have enough evidence to launch an impeachment inquiry into the president for lying about his involvement with Hunter’s businesses.

However, the White House has maintained that Joe “never did business” with his son and Democrats are working to back up their claims.

Jim Himes, D-Conn., a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Ranking, fired back at Republicans on Tuesday, saying they have not provided any evidence that President Biden is guilty of corruption — despite the testimony of Archer.

“Did (Republicans) point to anything that suggests Joe Biden engaged in corrupt behavior? No,” Himes said Tuesday on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

“On the contrary, Hunter Biden’s business partner said, yes, he was on the phone talking about the weather and exchanging pleasantries,” Himes continued.

“It is definitely and absolutely not a crime. They’re just in this box they made themselves.’

On the subject of a Biden impeachment, if impeachment crimes come to light — and I say this as a Democrat — fine. (Republicans) have not found any evidence of impeachable crimes,” Himes continued.

Republicans argue that Archer’s testimony added to mounting evidence that the then vice president was involved in Hunter’s overseas deals that brought in millions from countries like China and Romania.

Democrats, however, say the calls were innocent and non-business, claiming they were about “niceties” such as talking about “the weather” and “what’s going on?”

White House spokesman Ian Sams also responded to Republican allegations of corruption following Archer’s testimony, saying Republicans have not yet provided solid evidence implicating Joe.

“They keep promising promising evidence, but again and again they can’t produce any,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Yet the goose chase continues, at the expense of focusing on the real priorities of Americans.”
