Danny Bonaduce puts his Seattle home on the market for $1.6M… ahead of his brain surgery

Danny Bonaduce sells his Seattle home ahead of his brain surgery.

The actor’s 2,178-square-foot home is for sale for $1.6 million, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, according to TMZ.

Danny, 63, recently revealed he has been diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a buildup of fluid in the brain.

Due to his diagnosis, the actor and his wife Amy moved into their downtown apartment to make it easier for him, with fewer stairs and rooms – making it less dangerous for him.

Danny bought the house in 2015 for $1 million.

He will undergo brain surgery on Monday, and during the procedure, doctors will place a shunt in his head that will drain the fluid, per TMZ.

He was diagnosed more than a year after his battle with mysterious health issues began.

Since April 2022, The Partridge Family alum has been struggling with an unknown condition that has affected his ability to walk and maintain his balance. He has met with 100 doctors, but only recently was he officially diagnosed.

“My life was talking to doctors, and I’ll tell you what, I had meetings with maybe five doctors on a single Tuesday. And recently no one could figure out what it was. And I thought, “Well, this is a big deal. I’m falling down now, that can’t be good.” So I’ve met 100 doctors, a guy is testing to see if I have that, and currently it looks like I have,” he told TMZ.

Speculating on how he contracted the condition, Danny said it probably didn’t help to take “a guitar to the head” on reality TV and have a boxing match with Jose Canseco.

“I’ve done so many stupid things on a reality TV show that I hit a guitar in the head and it hurt, and that may have been the cause of it all. I was punched in the face by Jose Canseco, a 265-pound professional athlete. and by the way, I didn’t fall to the ground,” he said.

He also gave a shout out to his employer, iHeartRadio, for being so accommodating during the ordeal, even installing a studio in his home so he can broadcast from the comfort of his own home.

The show sounds good, even the doctor said, “If I didn’t know, I’d say you’re a healthy person.” And then he looked at the brain scan and it doesn’t look very good.’

Describing the operation, he said, “We’re putting a shunt in my head. As dirty as that sounds, they put it here and put it like a drain in the back of my head that drains.’

“From what I hear, if the diagnosis is correct, hydrocephalus, it will be 50% better when I wake up. I have a tube here, a tube here, and I will say, ‘Hey, it’s me. I’m back. ” But I’d rather be on the safe side because I don’t want to hope too much and I’ll be cured because unfortunately I don’t want to say sorry right now, I’m not sorry dude, but I’m really bummed if this doesn’t work.’

Bonaduce says he’d be happy if he could walk into his kitchen unassisted.

“I can’t walk right now… I’m never going to run again, I’m never going to box again, but if I can get from here to the kitchen on my own, bravo!”

The son of veteran TV writer and producer Joseph Bonaduce shared information about his battle with the then-undiagnosed condition on Good morning America last June.

He began treatment in April 2022 when his wife, Amy, first noticed his speech was not right and immediately called for help.

‘I couldn’t walk at all. I couldn’t balance. I couldn’t do such a thing. She looked really nervous. And she said, ‘You don’t say words, you don’t speak English,’ which of course is ridiculous to me.’

Doctors ruled out a stroke, but still don’t know why he suffered the health problems.

While talking about his condition, he noted that he “couldn’t walk,” could keep his balance, spoke “very badly,” and had trouble remembering “anything.”

In April 2022, the usually rambunctious personality announced to his fans that he would be taking a step back to take care of his health by posting a photo with a cane.

A bit of news to share – I’m taking a temporary medical leave from my radio show. I will share more when I know more as I am still working on getting a diagnosis,” he tweeted at the time.

He continued, “What I do know is that I need some time now to focus on my health. I love my job and talking to you guys, and I’ll be back on the air soon.”

Bonaduce then added a self-deprecating cane to his cane as he joked, “Charlie Chaplin, Willy Wonka, Danny Bonaduce. I’ve joined the club of cool guys with walking sticks.’

He’s since returned to work, announcing he’d be back in the studio in June 2022: “I’ll be live on radio again on Monday. I can not wait. My brain is still a little fuzzy, but that’s never stopped me – or the people who hire me. ⁣’
