Adele Roberts has been praised by Dancing On Ice fans for returning to the ITV show just days after announcing the death of her mother.

The Radio 1 presenter, 44, took to the ice with pro skater Mark Hanretty for a breathtaking Matrix-themed performance.

They scored an incredible 29, matching second top scorer Miles, with Christopher praising their ’emotion on the ice’.

Adele and Mark wore matching black leather outfits, reminiscent of the costumes from the film, and skated to Clubbed To Death by Rob Dougan.

Fans were impressed by the performance and said Adele, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer in October 2021, was an ‘inspiration’.

It comes after Adele announced her mother had died and explained her heartbreak had contributed to her being ‘overly emotional’ on Sunday’s Dancing On Ice.

It comes after Adele announced her mother had died and explained her heartbreak had contributed to her being ‘overly emotional’ on Sunday’s Dancing On Ice.

She broke down in tears when the judges announced her score of 27.5 for her debut routine to Clearly by Grace VanderWaal.

The crowd gave the pair a standing ovation, while Kate could be seen teary-eyed as she applauded.

Adele then revealed on social media that the routine was dedicated to the memory of her late mother.

She did not specify her cause of death, but Jackie had suffered from ill health for years.

In moving photos she posted, Adele showed Barbados-born Jackie her skate shoes and clips of herself on stage, while her Instagram page is full of moving images about Jackie from both recent years and her childhood.
