NFL football is back and so is Bills Safety Damar Hamlin.

The Buffalo fan favorite became widely publicized after he went into cardiac arrest on the roster during a game between the Bengals and Bills on January 2 in Cincinnati.

Hamlin has not played since, but has become a prominent figure on the American sports landscape and is one of the most talked about NFL players despite his limited on-field production.

The former Pitt standout is currently second behind Micah Hyde on the Bills depth chart at the free safety position.

While his spot on the Bills roster is far from certain, it’s more likely than not, at least at this point, that he will remain on Buffalo’s 53-man roster.

How much of the game Hamlin will play, or if he will kick off – given the pace and physicality – remains to be seen.

Hamlin was seen enjoying pregame, dancing to the music blaring through the Highmark Stadium speakers in Orchard Park, NY.

He received a huge ovation from the home crowd as he ran onto the pitch before kick-off.

Hamlin was not on the field for the opening drive at Indianapolis, in which Anthony Richardson was picked by Dane Jackson.
