Cybertruck gets stuck trying to cross California river in latest mishap involving Tesla’s futuristic cars

New video shows the embarrassing moment a Tesla Cybertruck was caught trying to cross a river in California – the latest in a series of accidents involving the electric vehicle.

The futuristic pickup was caught on camera trying to cross the water in Azusa Canyon on Sunday.

A video on YouTube shows the blocky car stuck in the river as water covers the tires.

Tired of driving along the water’s edge, the Cybertruck was caught before its rear tires could reach land.

The driver reversed to the opposite edge in an attempt to gain speed, but again failed to cross successfully.

After repeated attempts to reverse and then accelerate across the water’s edge, a Silverado pickup helped pull the Cybertruck out of the water, the YouTube uploader said.

Commentators mocked the driver for trying to use the innovative-looking vehicle to cross a body of water.

“I thought this was the best all-terrain vehicle ever, which happened,” said commentator Pat Benjamin.

‘One problem I notice with the cyber truck is that it is simply too stiff for the large wheelbase it has. If the wheels are that far apart, you need more suspension. Otherwise it’s just a tall car,” Derrick Fishes said.

‘I wouldn’t take a truck 100 km into a river like that. First of all, it’s electric, so I would be concerned about that. Second of all, just because it has 1,000 horsepower and tons of torque, or whatever, doesn’t mean it can do anything,” Zane Dzikonski said.

‘The suspension and tires are not intended for off-road driving. Always go with a friend who can pull you out.’

“I can’t wait until the influencer’s money runs out. This is a clown show,” said another.

This is the latest in a string of incidents involving the vehicle, which has left many buyers with numerous problems.

In March, a driver rammed into the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel sign, prompting Elon Musk to ask for a new sign after blaming the hotel’s valet parking service.

The valet service clapped back, saying none of its employees drove the doomed electric pickup.

A careless driver who ignored the “No vehicles on beach or dunes” sign drove his Tesla Cybertruck onto a California beach in March, where he became stuck in the sand.

A video taken by a bystander captured the entire ordeal and showed the driver, who was from Nevada, talking to firefighters and other officials as his Cybertruck stood a few feet away from the lapping waves.

Moments later, firefighters attempted to push the 6.8430-pound vehicle off the beach.

The woman who shot the video, which was shared with KSBW8, said, “Today is March the Fourth and some dumbass has decided to take his Tesla into the sand.”

She added that the driver was “enraged.”

You could see the firefighters slowly rolling the truck backwards, with a lot of effort and tension.
