Culture Kings founder shocks Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson with Justin Bieber’s very bad behaviour when they visited his store

The co-founder of Australian street fashion chain Culture Kings has alleged that Justin Bieber once acted like a brat while visiting one of his stores.

Simon Beard, 38, told The Kyle and Jackie O Show that he used to persuade celebrities to shop at his stores by paying their entourages in a “backdoor deal.”

At one point in the discussion, Beard claimed that Bieber, 29, made a scene when his team took him to a Culture Kings boutique in Sydney.

‘[Bieber’s] Security said, “You have to clear the store.” I’m like, ‘Oh my God, yes. OK, let’s do it,” he recalled.

At the time, Culture Kings had a barber shop where customers could get their hair cut.

“Three people got a haircut and we were like, ‘Oh, well, can they just stay? They only get half a haircut'”. [Bieber’s security] were like, ‘No, they have to go,'” he claimed.

‘[The customers] had to wait upstairs in the Sydney store on George Street with the cape on and a half-cropped haircut!’ he claimed.

Beard said Bieber started shopping, before suddenly “pointing at the DJ” playing music in the store and demanding they play his songs.

Bewildered, the DJ started playing Bieber’s huge hit ‘Baby’.

But in an awkward twist, the singer apparently told the DJ to turn it off because his music had “evolved” since the pop song’s release.

The hitmaker then began shopping in silence, before splashing $10,000 worth of Culture King products, Beard claimed.

Horrified, Jackie ‘O’ Henderson exclaimed, ‘Oh my God!’ while her co-host Kyle Sandilands burst into laughter.

Culture Kings became a global cult after attracting the attention of stars like Snoop Dogg who appeared in the stores selling exclusive sneakers and streetwear.

Husband and wife Simon and Tah-nee Beard created the fashion brand as a market stall on the Gold Coast in 2008, with stores now seen in Australia, New Zealand and most recently in Las Vegas.

The co-founders were sold to the American company, also known as Brands, in 2021 in a deal worth $307 million plus 23.3 million shares.

Their shares in aka Brands were at their peak on the New York Stock Exchange at $22.09 AUD but fell to just $0.82 in April this year in a stock market carnage.
