A Slovenian hotel has decided to auction Cristiano Ronaldo’s bed after he visited Ljubljana last week.
Ronaldo traveled to the Slovenian capital for a friendly match Portugal played against the Central European country on March 26, ahead of this summer’s European Championship.
He was staying at the Grand Plaza Hotel with the rest of the Portugal squad and a spokesperson has now confirmed that the bed he slept on will be auctioned off for charity.
“As this was a rather special and unique event, we decided to prepare a unique surprise in which all fans can participate,” they said.
“We don’t know when we will be able to receive Ronaldo again in Slovenia.

‘At a special auction we are offering the bed in which the star Cristiano Ronaldo slept. We wish everyone good luck and successful participation in the event.’
The starting bid is set at €5,000, with the hotel working with media company POP TV to get the best possible value for the bed occupied by Ronaldo a few days ago.
Outside the hotel, things did not go to plan for Ronaldo and co as they suffered their first defeat under Roberto Martinez.
The former Belgium, Everton and Wigan boss took over the Portuguese national team after the 2022 World Cup and led his side to 11 consecutive wins, but they were beaten 2-0 by Slovenia thanks to goals in the last 20 minutes from Adam Cerin and Timi Elsnik.
Ronaldo stormed off the pitch at the final whistle after appearing irritated by decisions that went against his team during the match.
Portugal will still go into the European Championship as one of the favorites, eight years after winning the tournament by beating hosts France in the final.
Slovenia’s impressive win was also a warning sign for England, with the two teams set to meet in their final group match on June 25.
