  • There was a major flashpoint involving Cristiano Ronaldo during Monday night’s match

  • The pressure on Man United boss Erik ten Hag is decreasing: just listen It all starts

Cristiano Ronaldo showed all his class on Monday during Al-Nassr’s AFC Champions League match against Persepolis.

The flashpoint occurred just two minutes into the match when former Liverpool star Sadio Mane sent a cross in Ronaldo’s direction.

Ronaldo initially tries a first shot, but when it is blocked he looks for it again as it needs a deflection in the box.

He is the second behind the ball and tumbles over, with the referee quickly pointing to the penalty spot, to the disbelief of the Persepolis players.

Replays showed there had been no contact with Ronaldo and to the Portuguese superstar’s credit he was quick on his feet and wagged his finger to tell the referee to correct his decision.
