Cristiano Ronaldo is the first player in football history to score 900 goals. His stunning goal gave Portugal a 2-0 lead against Croatia.
What looked like a typical Ronaldo goal, with the icon lurking at the far post to tap in a clever cross from the left, turned out to be a memorable moment, with the 39-year-old passing the incredible landmark in his national shirt.
Rafael Leao dived deep on the left to collect the ball as the former Real Madrid man waited in the penalty area, along with Bruno Fernandes.
The AC Milan star then threw the ball with precision, and it begged to be tapped in. CR7 did just that, and drove away to cheer, clearly aware of what he had just achieved.
More to come.
