‘PC Tinker is the only policeman in Manchester?’ Coronation Street fans joke there’s no other cop on the cobbles when Craig arrests Damon after a drug bust

Coronation Street viewers were taken aback when PC Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) made another arrest on Wednesday’s episode.

Damon Kay (Ciaran Griffiths) was finally handcuffed after forcing Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) to store drugs at his restaurant.

The dealer had just had a tense conversation with Nick and left his apartment only to be accosted by the police.

Arriving to save the day, PC Tinker said: ‘Get out of the car, get out of the car now. I’m arresting you on suspicion of class A drugs with intent to supply.

Several viewers joked that Craig seems to be the only police officer on the cobblestones, as he always shows up to save the day.

He’s on the case! Coronation Street viewers were taken aback when PC Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) made another arrest on Wednesday’s episode.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “PC Tinker the only copper on the beat in Weatherfield?”

Another said: ‘PC Tinker, literally the only copper in Manchester’, while a third added: ‘Of course it would be PC Tinker!’

A fifth said: ‘Craig saved the day again!’ while another added: ‘I know there’s a police shortage, but is Craig the only one in all of Greater Manchester?’

It’s not yet known what Damon told the police, but Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) has already panicked over his arrest, telling Nick, ‘We’ve got to clean up. He will tell the police that you were involved and they will send forensics.

Later, PC Tinker informed Leanne that Damon is the brother of drug lord Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).

He said, ‘I think when Damon showed up here, he may have attacked you.’ Damon is the half brother of Harvey Gaskell.

‘We need you to come to the station, try to establish why he may have attacked you and if there is a connection to that.’

Nick and Leanne had been on edge after Damon forced them to keep the drugs at the restaurant, and things had gone from bad to worse when he informed them the pickup had been delayed.
