Two huge pythons are on the loose in an exclusive beachside suburb after the animals were dumped by a woman’s ex-boyfriend following a bitter break-up.
The woman posted on the Coogee and Randwick Local Loop community Facebook page on Wednesday, pleading for help finding her beloved 8ft snakes – and even offering a reward.
“My ex-ex threw a tantrum when I broke up with him and dumped my sweet hand-raised pet pythons in a fit of rage (on Mount Street in Coogee),” she wrote.

“I really fear for their safety so if anyone has seen them please let me know… they are very sweet and don’t bite.”
“The brown one is called Bagel and the albino is called Mango.”
Both animals, aged five and six, have been with Mrs Dodson since birth and can be sensitive to the dangers of the wild.
The snakes are native to Australia, but not from the Sydney region.
Under the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016, ‘a person who, without consent, releases in New South Wales any animal (other than a captive protected animal) is guilty of an offence’.
NSW Police told Daily Mail Australia they are not aware of this incident and it has not been reported.
