Conor Gallagher left a mascot hanging after they tried to shake his hand before Chelsea’s clash with Burnley.
With both Reece James and Ben Chilwell absent, the midfielder captained the Blues in their clash as they look to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to six games.
In a clip widely shared on social media, Gallagher takes a seat in the tunnel as he prepares to lead his team out at Stamford Bridge.
Upon his arrival at the front of the line, a young mascot extends his hand in an attempt to shake the 24-year-old’s hand.
However, Gallagher appears to miss the youngster’s hand as he engages in conversation with another mascot as Clarets skipper Josh Cullen looks on.

Burnley were reduced to ten men in the first half against Mauricio Pochettino’s side when Lorenz Assignon was shown a second yellow card after being awarded a penalty to bring down Mykhailo Mudryk.
Cole Palmer converted from twelve yards to give the hosts the lead going into the break, but Burnley responded well after the restart as Cullen equalised.
Chelsea restored their lead after 78 minutes when Palmer was on target again to take his tally to 16 goals in all competitions in his extraordinary first campaign for the club.
Despite falling behind again, Vincent Kompany’s side continued their hunt for an equalizer and were rewarded for their perseverance when Dara O’Shea drew them level just minutes later to secure a point.
