Confident Donald Trump says he could beat ‘incompetent’ Biden ‘three times’ in 2024 election

Donald Trump today said he could beat “incompetent” Joe Biden “three times” in the 2024 presidential election as he and his son Eric ran green in Ireland for the third day.

The former president also mocked Biden’s golf skills after making his first drive at his Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Ireland’s Doonbeg – where he arrived last night after visiting Scotland.

“Do you think Biden can? I don’t think so,” he joked. Biden doesn’t hit 280 right in the middle, right? Biden can’t get 80 in the middle.”

When asked if he was confident he could beat Biden in the next US election, he said, “I could win it three times.”

When asked later if he would be looking for the Irish-American vote if he ran for president again in 2024, Trump said, “I’m looking, now I’m looking, that’s why I’m talking to you.”

Meanwhile, in a series of attempts to succeed his successor’s presidential campaign, Trump added, “Biden is an incompetent person.”

Trump’s visit comes just weeks after Biden came to Ireland, where he celebrated his Irish heritage

Trump’s visit to Ireland comes just weeks after Biden’s four-day trip to the country, which ended with a rousing speech celebrating his Irish heritage to a boisterous crowd outside St. Muredach’s Cathedral in County Mayo.

Trump remained ostensibly cheerful in the public eye as his lawyers battle his ongoing rape trial in New York – where the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape was played to the jury.

The former president started the week at his Aberdeenshire golf resort after landing in Scotland on Monday, saying ‘it’s great to be home’.

After opening the track at the Menie Estate on the east coast, he then traveled to his Turnberry track on the west coast, where he was seen teeing off again in the picture.

In Ireland today, Trump smiled, pointed and waved at cameras as he made his way around the golf course — where a standard membership costs $3,100 a year with a $1,250 entry fee.

Donning his famous red Make America Great Again cap, Trump drove around the golf course in a buggy that read “President Trump” on the front.

His good humor added to his positivity last night, as he expressed confidence in his position in his Manhattan rape trial as he toured his golf property.

Trump gave a long-distance thumbs up to his legal team’s performance on a day when attorney Joe Tacopina told a judge overseeing the trial that the defense team would not call witnesses in the case, and where a new witness gave dramatic testimony that could help his accuser.

It comes after Trump said, “I hear we’re doing really well in New York,” when asked why he was visiting Ireland instead of attending his trial in New York.

E Jean Carroll (pictured) testified for three days in the civil trial. She accuses Trump of assault and rape related to an alleged incident in 1995 or 1996

When asked why he was in Ireland instead of attending the trial, Trump replied, “Because we have a long-term agreement to come here. We had a great reception, a wonderful reception.’

“The people of Ireland have been amazing and we have a lot of respect. And I hear we’re doing really well in New York,” he said sky news.

It was his first comment on how his legal team fared in court, though he has portrayed the case online as a “hoax” and denied magazine writer E. Jean Carroll’s allegations against him.

Tacopina said the only witness he had wanted to call, an expert witness, would not be there due to a medical issue.

Trump’s assessment came on a day when lawyers for Carroll played the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape, which videotaped Trump’s comments about grabbing women by their genitals.

The rise of the 2005 video caused a stir in Trump’s 2016 campaign, but it didn’t stop Trump from reaching the White House.

The court also heard from two women whose testimony was intended to corroborate Carroll’s own statements by speaking about their own experiences with Trump.

Former People magazine writer Natasha Stoynoff said Trump forcibly kissed her at Mar-a-Lago during an interview for a magazine article. The story was about the one year anniversary of his marriage to Melania Trump.

Wearing his Make America Great Again cap, Trump drove around in a buggy that read “President Trump.”

Stoynoff cried as she recounted the 2005 encounter, where she said Trump pushed her against a wall and kissed her.

She testified that Trump “had his hands on my shoulders, pushed me against the wall and started kissing me.”

“He came back to me and I tried to push him again. He kissed me and, you know, was against me,’ she said.

She also said she didn’t scream and “no words came out”—days after Tacopina asked Carroll why she didn’t scream during the attack at a Bergdorf Goodman department store that she claims happened.

The closing argument could begin Monday, said Judge Lewis A. Kaplan, who could take the case to the jury on Tuesday.

He evaded a question of whether US companies doing business in Ireland should pay taxes in Ireland instead of the US

“That’s an interesting question,” Trump replied. “But I won’t answer that question in your country, but many people would say yes,” he said.

“But Ireland did a great job, you lured a lot of companies in. And they love it here, they really love it here, they’ve been treated well, just like I’ve been treated well. This is a great success,” he says.

Previously, businesswoman Jessica Leeds testified about her allegations that Trump grabbed her on a flight from Texas to New York in 1979 while she was sitting in a first class seat.

Also in New York on Wednesday, a judge dismissed Trump’s lawsuit against the New York Times and ordered him to pay attorney fees. Trump’s filing accused the paper, reporters and cousin Mary Trump of plotting to get his tax returns.
