Comedian Rickey Smiley has revealed that his eldest son, Brandon, has passed away at the age of 32.
The show’s host said he received the bad news Sunday that his son, Brandon Smiley, had died. The cause of death has not been announced.
In a short video on Instagram, he explained that he would be traveling to Birmingham and that fans and family should pray for him and his mother.
I lost my oldest son #BrandonSmiley this morning. I’m fine, but please pray for the mother of my son, Brenda, her brothers and her daughter Storm,” he said.

Noting that he was doing well, Smiley said, “Life comes with a lot of twists and turns,” before saying he couldn’t think because he was excited, but would update his fans soon.
The comedian said that on Sunday he received the bad news that his son had died. The cause of death has not been announced.
He continued: ‘Now I see what my grandfather went through and why he felt the way he did.
“My grandfather went through this shit with my dad and somehow, here I am going through the same thing my grandparents went through. So please pray for our family,’ Smiley said.
In response to his post, Rickey received many messages of condolences, including one from musician AI B. Sure!, who wrote: “Sorry to hear this news bro Rickey.”
