Liza Minnelli has been photographed on a rare public outing after enjoying a night out with friends in Los Angeles, DailyMail.com can reveal.
The comedian and daughter of the late Judy Garland was spotted returning to her Beverly Hills home for the first time in almost a year on Thursday evening, according to exclusive photos.
Minnelli, who turned 78 last month, was dropped off in a Cadillac sedan before being helped out of the car and into her wheelchair by two friends.
The Hollywood star was glamorous for a night out on the town, wearing full make-up and wearing all black.

Prior to the outing, Liza was last photographed leaving a West Hollywood restaurant last June, around the time it was reported she needed around-the-clock care due to lingering health fears.
However, she seemed in good spirits for this evening outing, which comes a few weeks after her 78th birthday on March 12.
Minnelli showed her signature humor when she opened up about her secret to survival in an interview on her special day.
The star has endured the highs and lows of fame, including setbacks like health issues and tumultuous relationships.
‘I am so grateful for all the well wishes and all the love that comes my way. Not just on my birthday, but always,” the superstar – who can be seen in the films Cabaret and Arthur – shared People.
‘I wish I knew how to act at my age. But guess what kids: I’ve never been so damn old! Just keep going baby, that’s the secret!’ she joked.
She also revealed plans for the “fabulous” celebration on her big day, including a gift from Italian jewelry line Elsa Peretti.
“There’s a party being thrown in my honor by dear friends (pianist) Michael Feinstein and Terrence Flannery,” she explained.

Just a few weeks earlier, Minnelli gave an interview to People in which she shared her secret to surviving on her 78th birthday on March 12.

The inimitable star also shared insights into her future plans.
‘I’m recording music again!’ the Grammy nominee shouted at the outlet.
And I’m involved in an exciting brand collaboration that will be announced soon.”
According to her publicist Victoria Varela, “It’s very exciting news, but not something we can reveal yet.”
Diagnosed with viral encephalitis in 2000, which can cause weakness or loss of movement in parts of the body, Liza has continued to battle health problems in recent years.
She is often seen in public in a wheelchair and even appeared in a wheelchair on the 2022 Oscars stage alongside Lady Gaga.
The Bad Romance singer was seen comforting Liza by whispering, “I got you,” as Liza tried to read her lines. Liza showed her appreciation and replied, “I know.”
“She’s celebrating the 50th anniversary of Cabaret,” Gaga then announced to the crowd, with Liza famously winning the Best Actress award for her leading role in the 1972 musical feature film.
Taking home an Oscar was just one of many highlights of Liza’s illustrious career, during which she would become one of a handful of Hollywood EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) winners.
