Wayne, 37, has spent most of his time across the pond since taking over as manager of Major League Soccer team DC United.

Snapping back to reality after the trip, Coleen kept herself comfortable in chunky sneakers, while her white socks said “make it happen” to keep her motivated throughout the workout.

With his hoodie around his waist, it was clear he’d worked up a sweat in the gym.

Posting to her 941K followers later in the day, the mother-of-four shared that she had the “best time” visiting her boyfriend.

Smiling as they headed off for a date night, Wayne put an arm around a glamorous Coleen for the first photo.

While they seemed to be taking in the sights for another snapshot, snapping a selfie while enjoying a low-key walk.

It was also a trip full of shopping, as Coleen snapped a selfie of the couple enjoying a breather at the door, surrounded by shopping bags.

While earlier this week, the former footballer also shared a sweet selfie of him and his WAG hanging out in the sun together.

The couple could be seen smiling as they enjoyed some sightseeing in America.

‘Finest Moment’: It comes after Coleen shared insight from her recent trip to Washington DC, where she was visiting her football coach husband.

Bundled up, Coleen opted for a beige coat and a black turtleneck. She added a pair of brown sunglasses and styled her straight brown tresses.

Meanwhile, Wayne covered up in a black puffer coat and black New York Yankees cap.

Sharing the selfie with his followers, Wayne wrote, “Great week with @coleenrooney.”

Despite Wayne’s commitments to be in Washington, Coleen has previously told her friends that she hates America and would not move there.

A source close to Coleen told MailOnline: “She made her views clear to Wayne. There is no way she would want to go to Washington. Last time, she absolutely hated him there.

‘She doesn’t want to live outside of the North West of England, let alone live in Washington again. The family is more established than ever. They have four children who go to school, and Coleen’s entire family lives near her.

The source added: “There’s no way she’s going to want to give all that up to go live somewhere she hates.”

Despite this, prior to Wayne’s official move to the American club in July, the pair were said to have they had never been “more together”, particularly after the way he publicly supported her during Wagatha Christie’s £3 million libel trial against Rebekah Vardy.

One said: ‘Wayne and Coleen’s relationship is the best it’s been in a long time. He supported her 100 percent during the defamation trial, appeared in court every day, and supported her wife.

“They have just had a wonderful summer vacation with the boys, the longest they have had in a long time, given Wayne’s past soccer commitments. As a couple and family, they have never been happier and more united.’

Coleen’s dislike of the US capital emerged in leaked 2018 text messages sent to Vardy during the Wagatha Christie defamation trial.

In response to Vardy asking how things were going, Liverpudlian replied: ‘Hi, I hope you’re around all week. [well]. We’re fine, thank you, although it’s hard to be alone.

Coleen went on to say, “Washington’s not the best…nice to visit but different to live in.” Not much for kids to do, mostly park, hardly any soft play and such. It is quite a bit behind the UK, which I never would have thought. But we’ll get used to it (I hope). “Wayne loves it, and the kids are doing well, they settled into school right away. So I’m very happy that you’re doing well. Thanks for the message love xx.’

In a separate message, he admitted that he “never believed in homesickness” until he left the UK, adding that he “cried every night” because he missed his family back home.
