The stars attended a special screening of the Bridgerton prequel Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, due out May 4.
The Netflix spin-off show will chart Charlotte’s rise to power and pivotal marriage to King George III.
India Amarteifio stars as the young version of Queen Charlotte, originally played by Golda Rosheuvel in Bridgerton.
Netflix released a teaser trailer for the six-part series last month, documenting the romance between Charlotte and King George (Corey Mylchreest).
The clip opens with young Charlotte asking her older brother why she was chosen to marry into royalty.
He says to her, “Charlotte, there is a fate worse than marrying the King of England.”
Her mother-in-law-to-be explains her duties as a member of the royal family: “As many babies as possible for my son.”
Young Queen Charlotte tries to escape by climbing a garden wall, where she meets her betrothed King George.
He says, “Hello ma’am, do you need help?”
To which Queen Charlotte replies, “I’m fine, thank you, you can go back in and wait.”
The two go back and forth, with Charlotte unwilling to give the reason why she is trying to climb the wall.
George is then revealed to be the King, announcing, “I refuse if that lady tries to go over a wall so she doesn’t have to marry me.”
Although Charlotte is undetermined about the marriage chosen, George tries to win her over: “I realize you have no reason to like me, but if you give me an evening of your time, you might give me a little hate less. .’
Clips in the trailer show the couple getting married and sharing their first kiss, despite the uncertainty.
However, things may not work out in the end as Charlotte begs George to “fight me” and “fight for me” after fans discover he has a giant secret.
The trailer ends with Queen Charlotte saying to King George, “It’s you and me forever.”
It comes after Bridgerton’s next series plunged into chaos after bosses thought some storylines had gone “too dark.”
Sources working on the production of the Netflix Bonkbuster say some scripts had to be rewritten because Shonda Rhimes, the show’s producer, wants to give viewers more fun.
It is clear that there were concerns about a sexual storyline.
It was reported last year that Ms. Rhimes has been joined by another executive producer, Jess Brownell.

A source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Filming has been delayed because the screenwriter was not happy with the direction.
“We’ve been told the fun has to go back, so there are changes, which of course means delays. One thing’s for sure though, the production team wants to get it right for Bridgerton fans so they enjoy it as much as they did in the past.
“There are some elements that Shonda just isn’t happy with, so she wants to change those. Some of it got very dark.”
In 2021, it was announced that there would be a third and fourth series of Bridgerton following the success of the first two. The show is based on the series of romantic novels by American writer Julia Quinn.
