Christine Lampard revealed that her husband Frank Lampard is ‘the son my mum and dad never had’ and told how much he loves it when his in-laws pamper him.
The 45-year-old Irish presenter, who has been married to football manager Frank, 46, since 2015, says she values the relationship Frank has with her family.
While talking about her parents Frederick and Mina, the beauty told Women & Home: ‘I love the relationship Frank has with my family. Frank is like the son my mom and dad never had.’
She continues, “When I’m at work or away, he likes to sit on the couch and be pampered just as much as I am, and he loves it.”
The Loose Women panellist also admitted that life with the former Chelsea and England footballer has changed somewhat since they had children – Patricia, five, and Freddie, three.

The 45-year-old TV personality spoke candidly about her home situation in the September issue of Women&Home, saying that Frank will let her parents spoil him like they would, even when she’s not there.

However, she revealed that their 15-year romance is still going strong as they make sure to make time for each other.
She said: ‘Frank and I always make time for each other, it feels really special. We love dressing up, going out and having a good laugh. I still get excited about doing that.’
Christine also shared how Frank still longs for his mother Patricia, who died in 2008 at the age of 58, and after whom they named their daughter.
She said: ‘There are still times when Frank is left breathless by the loss of his mother, and he still can’t believe it’s been so long.’
She added: ‘I haven’t met Frank’s mother but we have a lovely picture of her hanging in our house and although the children are very young they know exactly who she is.’
“It was a very emotional day when I asked Frank, ‘Why don’t we call our daughter Patricia?’ I think he was overwhelmed. I look at her now and she is nothing but Patricia.”
The interview comes after the footballer paid tribute to his late mother Pat in his 2015 wedding speech, explaining that she would have adored his new wife Christine, according to The Mirror.
Pat, who was 58 when she lost her battle with pneumonia, died a year before the football manager met TV personality Christine in 2009.
Christine is also stepmother to Luna, 18, and Isla, 16, from Frank’s previous relationship with Spanish model Elen Rives
She explained that she never takes her marriage to the current football manager for granted and that they always make time to dress up and ‘have a good laugh’.

She told Woman & Home Magazine: ‘There are still moments when the loss of his mother takes Frank’s breath away,’ adding that it was a ‘very emotional day’ when she asked Frank ‘why don’t we call our daughter Patricia?’
A guest at the wedding in Knightsbridge, London, told the publication at the time: ‘Frank actually said it was the best day of his life and that he wished his mother had been there.’
“He said his mother Christine would have loved it too if they had met, and he got really upset.”
Frank and Christine married at St Paul’s Church after a four-year engagement, surrounded by friends, family and celebrity guests including TV presenters Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
There was one person missing, however. For Frank, who once called himself a “mama’s boy,” the wedding was undoubtedly a mixed bag.
Frank was together with Elen Rivas, with whom he has two daughters, Luna and Isla, for seven years before they decided to split in 2009.
The footballer was introduced to Christine at the Pride Of Britain Awards by his TV colleague Piers Morgan, another guest who got to say a few words at the A-list party and was the first star to see Frank shed tears on the big day.
The couple, who married in 2015, are parents to two young children, while Frank is also the proud father of his two older daughters Isla and Luna from his previous relationship with Elena Rivas (pictured in 2015).
Piers recalled the meeting, saying live on television after the wedding: ‘Christine came into the bar and Frank said, “Who’s that? She looks a bit like,” which I think is East End for “She’s attractive.” I said, “She’s way better than your league mate.”‘
The announcer also revealed that Frank had said during his wedding speech that he had fallen madly in love with Christine.
He continued: ‘Anyway, they got together after that, he said in his speech. He was away playing for England and they spoke every night for four hours and within a week they were completely in love.’
