Christina Hall claims estranged husband Josh Hall ‘took items’ from home during unscheduled visit and turned on security cameras she had unplugged amid divorce

Christina Hall claims her estranged husband Josh Hall took items from their home during a surprise visit and turned on security cameras that she had unplugged during a new divorce filing.

In the document obtained by PeopleThe TV star, who married Hall, 44, in October 2021, filed an ex parte motion making the allegations, days after filing for divorce on July 15, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

In the filing, Christina alleges that Josh moved out of their marital home in Newport Beach, California, on July 8 — a day after she told him she planned to file for divorce and the couple agreed to her living in the home with her three children.

The file states: ‘Josh has returned to the property several times since then. The first time he returned to the residence, he was supposed to pick up items. The second time he returned to the residence was unplanned and he also took items with him.’

She also claims that Josh reconnected the security cameras she had disconnected in response to his attorney’s request.

Christina said Josh’s attorney sent her a letter demanding she “preserve electronic evidence without it being automatically deleted” from their home cameras.

Christina responded, “I unplugged the cameras so the system wouldn’t automatically overwrite the hard drive. Every time Josh came home, he plugged the cameras back in, allowing him to keep an eye on me and my kids. I object to him having that access to my home.”

A source close to Josh told the publication: ‘Josh wouldn’t even know how to turn the cameras off,’ adding that he has ‘nothing to hide.’

Christina is mother to Taylor, 13, and Brayden, eight, with her first husband Tarek El Moussa, and to son Hudson, four, with her second husband Ant Anstead.

This comes after Christina accused Josh of transferring $35,000 of her money to his bank account.

According to the legal documents obtained by ANDthe HGTV personality claimed, “Josh was able to transfer over $35,000 of my separate rental income into his account.”

She further wrote in the court filing: “I am asking Josh to account for the stolen funds and to repay them to me as these funds are specifically being used to pay loans, obligations, property taxes, insurance and maintenance on these rental properties.”

The money came from Christina’s various rental properties in Tennessee, which Josh allegedly obtained via a text message he sent to the property manager on July 8th. This is a significant date, as Josh claims it was the date of their separation, while Christina says it was the 7th.

Josh’s text read, “Hi. For payments in June, can we have the money sent to another account when the time comes? Thank you,” with the “we” seemingly indicating that both he and his soon-to-be ex-wife agreed to the request.

However, Christina, who included a screenshot of the message as evidence with her report, said she did not hear about the transfer until July 21.

She noted in her documents that she had “no personal contact with Josh on July 8, 2024,” adding, “I would not have asked him to send my money to himself the day after I told him we were getting a divorce.”

Additionally, she explained that the property manager executed the request “under the assumption that I had approved the account change and requested account information, and Josh provided his own account with Wells Fargo Bank.”

The documents were filed in Orange County Superior Court in California and the mother of three has asked a judge to order Josh to pay back the money.

She also wants exclusive use of the Newport Beach, California, home she once shared with her ex.

She acknowledges that the house is in both their names, but claims the money she used to buy the house came from the sale of a home she owned in Dana Point.

The Flip or Flop star also took action against alimony demands, stating on the record: “I understand that this court may at some point require me to pay alimony to Josh and reasonable attorney fees to his counsel.

However, I believe this is a simple case with simple accounting over a short period, [therefore] ‘All costs and fees must be kept to a minimum.’

It added: ‘Like all hardworking mothers, my life revolves around my children and my work. It is my understanding that Josh has his own income and therefore should not require spousal support from me.

“He has sufficient equity to pay his own attorney fees and costs. I am frankly shocked and concerned that on July 8, 2024, he transferred over $35,000 of my separate property money into his separate account.

“The fact that this is the same date he is now claiming as our date of separation, even though it is actually July 7, 2024, makes it clear why he chose the following day.”

Christina wonders, “What else don’t I know about his financial situation? That’s why I’m having a full forensic accounting done for the entire duration of our marriage.”

The claims for unscheduled visits, $35,000 and security cameras reportedly come from legal documents that have not yet been filed with the court.

Sources close to Josh said TMZ He was “overwhelmed” by her decision to leave him. He said he was “seriously committed to her” because “his social, professional and romantic life all revolved around her.”

According to sources, Josh feels like he has lost his “whole world.”

Insiders claim that after a disagreement she stopped talking to him and would only talk to him through a lawyer. Josh also hired a lawyer when he realized where the marriage was headed.

Josh is now spending time in Nashville and wishes Christina and her children “nothing but the best.”
