Chrissy Teigen and John Legend shrug off backlash as they party away at JBL Fest in NYC after they were accused of ‘kicking out’ girls in photo booth to use themselves

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend shrugged off their photo booth reactions as they happily posed at JBL Fest in New York on Friday.

Earlier that week, a viral TikTok had accused them of “kicking” a group of girls out of a photo booth so they could use it themselves.

The couple received a furious backlash, with social media users labeling them as ‘entitled’ and wondering: ‘Don’t they have a billion pictures of themselves?’

However, John, 45, and Chrissy, 38, seemed completely unbothered by the online uproar as they emerged in New York on Friday evening.

They shared laughs and struck silly poses for the camera that evening at the JBL PartyBox series launch party, held at the PHD Rooftop Lounge in Manhattan.

Chrissy cut a glamorous figure at the party in a sleek white blazer dress that showed off her shapely legs as she walked the JBL Fest red carpet.

In a manner reminiscent of the 1980s, the outfit was adorned with a large black bow with sashes that fell to the floor.

John, meanwhile, opted for a more casual ensemble consisting of fashionably faded jeans, plus a striped sweater and a dark blue jacket.

Their latest public appearance came just hours after they faced fierce criticism on social media over the now-deleted photo booth TikTok.

The encounter is said to have taken place during Thursday night’s launch party for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2024 launch party.

Chrissy was one of the cover girls for the latest edition of the Swimsuit Issue, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.

In text via TikTok, obtained by TMZwrote the poster, “John Legend and Chrissy Teigen just kicked us out of the photo booth after waiting 30 minutes to take pictures.”

The post was accompanied by a video of John and Chrissy walking into a photo booth as a group of girls appeared to still be using it.

John’s voice could be heard off-screen saying, “We’re going to sneak in if you don’t mind,” before he and Chrissy appeared on screen.

The girls agreed to leave the photo booth to make way for the celebrities, but it apparently took some time to gather their belongings and print their photos.

Chrissy and John stood behind them the entire time, as she looked increasingly impatient and he leaned in to whisper in her ear.

Several social media users were able to share their reactions to the TikTok video as it went viral – before it was removed from the platform.

‘Chrissy in a whole different universe’, while others marveled at: ‘The hand movement to move’, with one person simply writing: ‘the hand movement’ with a crying emoji.

“Don’t they have a billion pictures of themselves?” wrote one irritated viewer. “They probably have a stand in their house.”

Others noted that the girls should have refused to leave the photo booth, with one saying: “I actually would have said I mind because whatever,” and another saying: “That’s for all of you because I would have remained personal. ‘

Chrissy is currently making a return to public life, three years after her cyberbullying scandal, in which she was accused of telling then-teenager Courtney Stodden to commit suicide via private message.

The controversy erupted in 2021 and torpedoed Chrissy’s career, causing her to be dropped by a string of brands including Macy’s, Target and Bloomingdales.

As the outcry against her grew, Chrissy even pulled out of Safely, the cleaning products brand she started with Kris Jenner.

Chrissy had posted a series of tweets about Courtney in 2011, when Courtney had just become known as the “child bride.”

At just 16, Courtney married 50-year-old acting coach Doug Hutchinson, showering the couple with angry opprobrium.

During that time, Chrissy posted several tweets attacking Courtney, including one that controversially told the teen to “go to sleep forever.”

Courtney later publicly claimed that the tweets were not the whole story, claiming that Chrissy would “privately DM me and tell me to kill myself.”

During the course of her 2021 cyberbullying scandal, Chrissy was also sued for several other insults she leveled at celebrities on Twitter years earlier.

Among the offensive comments was a 2011 post in which she joked that Lindsay Lohan “makes a few more slits in her wrists when she sees Emma Stone.”

Chrissy was also accused of dismissing nine-year-old Oscar nominee Quvenzhané Wallis as “cocky” and Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham as a “w****” in 2013.
