Chrissie Swan got incredibly emotional in a recent interview when she talked about how daily walks have changed her life.

The 49-year-old TV and radio personality has lost 90kg in the past three years, but the reason she loves walking isn’t because of its weight-loss benefits.

Speaking on The Imperfects podcast, a tearful Chrissy said that walking has changed her life because it allows her to de-stress and solve problems in her mind while looking at nature and getting fresh air.

Four years ago, she decided to make some lifestyle changes, and moving her body more was one of them.

“I was 45 years old and I went, I think I’m about to die,” he said.

‘Am I happy with what is happening? Am I happy with who I am with other people, am I happy with who I am to myself? What do I want to change?

“And then I started walking and I get excited thinking about it because walking has absolutely changed my life.”

The radio host said that whenever something worries her, she goes out and walks and uses that time to clear her mind.

“Every day I walk, if there is something that worries me,” he said.

“I’m so in tune and if something feels off I’m like, ‘I’m going to walk on it’ and sometimes that takes an hour and sometimes 10km every day for a month, but I always get the answer.” .

Chrissie has drastically transformed her physique since the start of the Covid lockdowns, citing a new diet, daily walks and sobriety as the secrets to her slimming down.

After losing 90kg since 2020, she briefly mentioned her weight loss in an interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly last year.

She said the ‘huge’ lifestyle changes she had made over the previous 12 months had improved her life in many ways.

“I’m not going to talk about the size of my butt,” he said.

‘I’m not going to tell you what I eat in a day. Because I’ve read those stories and they make me feel bad about myself.

However, he confirmed that Melbourne’s lengthy Covid lockdowns were the catalyst for his health and fitness.

“We couldn’t go out to dinner, we couldn’t go to a friend’s house, they couldn’t come to us, we couldn’t go out five kilometers,” he said.

All we could do was walk, and that’s what I did.

In another interview with the Herald Sun, Chrissie said she felt amazing and had never been happier as she approached 50.

‘I have never been happier or more focused. In fact, it’s great and I don’t think you can feel that way until the years have passed. I wouldn’t be at 20 pounds,” she said.
