Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger take their kids to church for Mother’s Day

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger were the ultimate parents on Mother’s Day as they enjoyed some quality time with their family at church in Los Angeles.

The Marvel star, 43 – who is currently dominating the box office with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 – wore his Sunday best and donned a blue plaid blazer.

Katherine, 33, coordinated with Chris by wearing a gorgeous blue jumper and matching midi skirt.

The couple married in 2019 and share two daughters – Lyla Maria, two, and Eloise Christina, one – in addition to his 10-year-old son Jack with ex-wife Anna Faris.

Chris and Katherine were joined by her family, including mother Maria Shriver, 67, and siblings Patrick, 29, Christina, 31, and Christopher, 25.

Katherine’s iconic father Arnold Schwarzenegger, 75 – who divorced Shriver in 2011 – was not in attendance on Sunday.

The Pratt-Schwarzenegger clan is deeply religious, and Chris recently opened up about his faith by shrugging off criticism.

“That’s nothing new, that’s nothing new, you know?” Pratt said Page six. “If I were of this world, they would just love me, but as it is now, I chose not of this world. That’s John 15:18 through 20.”

“That’s right, nothing new, 2,000 years ago they hated him too,” he added, referring to Jesus Christ.

Church brought Katherine and Chris together in 2018, as she recently shared during their meet-cute story while performing on the Drew Barrymore Show back in February.

“We met at church,” she said. “It was very sweet, but he didn’t try to pick me up at church.”

After the couple got engaged, Maria shared an Instagram post paying tribute to them and referring to their deep faith in God.

“Congratulations to two loving, kind, caring, thoughtful, spiritual people. We are so happy for you. You are blessed, as is everyone you know. Yes, let’s go,” Shriver wrote at the time.

The Jurassic World star also posted an engagement announcement on Instagram, writing, “Dear Katherine, so glad you said yes! I love marrying you. Proud to live courageously in faith with you. Here we go.’

However, in a cover story for Men’s health last summer, the superstar said he’s nowhere near as religious as people think: “Religion has long been oppressive. I didn’t know that I would become the face of religion, when actually I am not a religious person.

“I think there’s a difference between being religious — clinging to the customs created by man, often appropriating the awe reserved for whom I believe is a very real God — and using it to control people.” to keep, to take money from people, to abuse children, to steal land, to justify hatred.’
