Amsterdam police have released video footage of an alleged drug dealer stabbing a male British tourist in the Red Light District in March.
Police have asked the public to help identify the suspect in the violent attack, calling the incident a “very intense and violent case.”
According to a local news channel AT 5 O’CLOCK, The British man and his girlfriend were walking back to their hotel after visiting a pub on March 23 when a dealer approached them asking if they wanted to buy drugs.
The video shows the attacker becoming aggressive after the couple rejected his offer to sell them drugs.
The woman pushed him away, escalating the altercation.
Her partner then intervened, causing him to be stabbed by the dealer.

After the brutal attack, the attacker managed to run away and disappeared into the hustle and bustle of the busy Red Light District.
The British man reportedly suffered serious injuries and spent several days in hospital after undergoing emergency surgery.
This is not the only violent attack a British tourist has suffered in Amsterdam.
In 2022, British tourist Danny Castledine was fatally stabbed and stabbed dozens of times in the face and neck in the center of Amsterdam.

A 24-year-old Belgian man accused of the Castledine stabbing was convicted of manslaughter earlier this year and sentenced to 14 years in prison.
Castledine, then a 22-year-old student at Leeds Beckett University, met a tragic end less than 24 hours after arriving in the popular European destination with his boyfriend on a weekend trip on June 1, 2022.
The student from Nottinghamshire was found with 30 stab wounds and 14 cuts after suffering a violent attack in the early hours of the morning.
Investigators revealed that the suspect, Nongo B., had ingested a large amount of drugs upon his arrest and had traces of Catledine’s blood on his clothes and shoes, leading police to link him to the crime scene.
Footage revealed by investigators reportedly showed an intoxicated Castledine with Nongo at around 2.12am.
The pair were then captured on camera about 30 minutes later at the Singel, where Nongo allegedly carried out a ferocious attack with a knife.
He allegedly dragged Castledine’s body to the side of the road in an attempt to remove evidence before fleeing the scene.
Castledine’s body was discovered around 3:30 a.m. by shocked partygoers, prosecutors said.
Paramedics were called to the scene but were unable to revive the Englishman.
