NFL fans are stunned by L’Jarius Sneed’s bombshell trade from Super Bowl winners Kansas City Chiefs to the Tennessee Titans on Friday night.

The 27-year-old Sneed will earn an average of $19 million over four years, with $55 million guaranteed. The move will be official once he completes his medical treatment.

The cornerback was outstanding last season as the Chiefs won their second straight Super Bowl.

His highlight was a stunning tackle on Zay Flowers of the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth quarter of the NFL Conference Championship game, knocking the ball out of his hands as he jumped for a touchdown.

But he will now take his game to Tennessee next year, and as the shock waves around the NFL started to be felt, fans quickly concluded it was a huge blow to the Chiefs.

“He was the main reason they three-peated!!! It is over. The dynasty ended today. Check it out in 11 months,” said one fan on X.

Another wrote: ‘Chiefs have been robbed in broad daylight.’

But for fans in Tennessee, it was a milestone for a team that has never won a Super Bowl and missed the playoffs last year.

“I’m having a hard time falling asleep after my Titans acquired L’Jarius Sneed in a trade from the Kansas City Chiefs. I’m excited for the 2024 season. What a free agency season for my Tennessee Titans,” one Titans fan wrote.

One Atlanta Falcons fan was stunned by the news, writing on X, “The Chiefs trading L’Jarius Sneed should be breaking news today if you ask me. He was his own island in the Playoffs and too many WRs are missing there.”

In the aftermath of Kansas City’s win over the 49ers, Sneed was clear he wanted a big pay package — from the Chiefs or elsewhere.

Appearing on the Up & Adams show days after the Vegas win, he was asked if he had a message for GM Bret Veach as he approached free agency.

“Pay me,” Sneed said. ‘Pay me, pay me. That’s what I have to say: pay me.’

The Titans had already signed cornerback Chidobe Aquzie during free agency.

They also added players like wide receiver Calvin Ridley, center Lloyd Cushenberry and running back Tony Pollard to the roster this season.
